I mean, to be fair, the OP doesn't look to be a Piston fan...

Doesn't change anything. They're sharing the laughable opinion of a disgruntled Pistons fan, mad that they lost a regular season game, which doesn't make for a worthwhile discussion.

They’re exceptionally physical, but Mo is the only Magic I think is dirty / reckless.

I hated to see the injury to Ivey, but these 2 teams are very close to each other in their development and could become a serious rivalry. Cade and Paolo both being number 1 picks in consecutive years, both teams with identical records battling to stay out of the play in.
Mo has always been a dirty player, hes averaged a foul every 8 minutes in his career. He has always played recklessly but i dont see it being a trend for the team.

I always love hustle and effort in every sport. That said; players should be held responsible for their continuation. If they throw themselves in the air and happen to touch the ball, it doesn't make it ok to continue into another player like a bowling ball.

Leaving your feet does not eliminate the foul rules.

That push by Wagner at best was reckless but I'm leaning more to dirty. Hayes was running full speed for that ball and he sent him crashing into the bench

They have injured Ivey recklessly, and tried to do the same to Cade.

This is why the team has Isaiah Stewart.

See you next year, and don't skip leg day.

Cowered away like a punk when Paolo called him soft.

Nah, we just play hard and physical on defense and hustle for loose balls, which is a rarity theyse days. There's definitely some bad blood between the Pistons and us, though. Mostly from the Pistons side. And if the teams were reversed I'd probably feel similarly.

Video #1 was just unfortunate, he was making a real attempt to get the ball and they dove the same way, but Cole was in a worse position, making it look worse than it was. That's not something you can judge in a split-second just as the ball is coming off the rim.

Video #2 Is literally nothing except for a sore Pistons fan venting (which is fine). The ball is in the middle inbetween two players and Suggs just makes a great hustle play to win the ball for his team.

Video #3 is a dirty shove by Moe Wagner but to me it feels like that happened ages ago. I mean Killian Hayes was still an important player for the Pistons then. And I don't recall any major dirtiness by M. Wagner since then, even though he has remained an irritant/antagonizer. Oh and of course the punch to the back of the head is the dirtiest thing in that vid.

p.s. from bad boys to soy boys is gold, thank you OrlandoDream, I could use a good laugh.

The accidents were unfortunate but they don't define a team as dirty. I want to see players play hard.

Wagner's shove was not cool, but it doesn't define Orlando as dirty either.

The Moe play a few years ago was dirty imo. So was the Hayes retaliation. The clips Pistons fans are using on X from this previous game are:

1. Paolo lifting into his shooting motion and clips Tobias' face, I think he got a concussion.

2. Ausar on the ground trying to get a loose ball, WCJ comes up behind him and tries to grab the ball as well, a common wrap up and didn't dive on him. Ausar's head flicks back the moment WCJ comes behind him and hits his knee, and people think that's dirty to try to stand behind someone on the ground now.

3. Suggs and Cade hitting into each other for a 50-50 ball, Cade is getting bounced out of bounds by Suggs (both hustling towards the ball), Franz extends his arms to stop Cade's momentum from hitting into him. Feel like most 50-50s are shoulder checks or extensions like that anyway, nobody stands stiff like a board so you can bump heads into each other. Most likely a foul on Franz since I don't think you can have bodies flying all over without someone being accountable.

If this is what people think are dirty nowadays lol. Fans say they want the 90s back but will complain about the softest stuff. I get Pistons fans being mad/annoyed bout the Ivey injury prior, which was definitely reckless from Cole, but again, he dives before Ivey's momentum is in the picture, and diving from the left going to the right while a player is going from right to left and takes one extra step is dangerous but it wasn't like Ivey had the ball in his hands and he did a Pat Bev-esque-dive.

I see players flopping back and almost sliding into knees I feel like once a game, or people sliding underneath airborne players to try to draw charges, around-the-neck wrap ups, etc. So it's strange when people cherry pick these ones.

Why is Moe Wagner considered dirty?
I get it - if you don`t know him and he isn`t on your team you`ll get the impression that he is a jerk (he`ll say it himself).
But DIRTY? No.

So, I don't think the Magic are dirty. They're reckless, but they don't intentionally go out to injure. But I can't be the only one who thinks diving at the knees or legs on 50/50 balls is wack, right? (Particularly the Cade video).

BTW.. aside from that hipcheck on Hayes, why is Moe considered dirty?

Irritating yes. Someone you hate to play against yes.

But does he intentionally stick his leg, and etc? I havent seen it.

100% agree, they aren't a dirty team but that POS has been dirty ever since his Michigan days.

I don't think so but I haven't seen too much.

It's likely the same argument I had with Lowry. You play hard, physical defence all the time, you're likely to have moments that don't look great. Is it dirty or a by product of effort?
