This is the series that is going to put Cade on the map with casuals.

Cade Cunningham is the best player in this series. Everyone is going to see it. He’s 2x the player he was from the beginning of the year. Knicks were the team every Detroit fan wanted. I don’t see them beating Detroit in 7.

Pistons in 6. With or without Ivey.

This is a great matchup in my opinion.
The determining factor is how does Cade perform in his first playoff series?
I think Knicks ultimately win but it’s a long series…6 or 7 games.

the series is Beasley/Hardaway and a bunch of kids vs. an experienced playoff team and you guys think this is going 6-7?

As Cade goes, the Pistons go. It all comes down to how well he does under playoff pressure.

But even then, I can't see Detroit winning more than 2 games. More likely they might steal one game unless NY has a bunch of injuries.

Part of me wants to see the young guys upset the Knicks, but then I also want to see OG get to actually play in a finals. He had that lousy appendectomy in 2019 that prevented him from getting on the floor against GSW.

So go Knicks, or whatever.

For me, it's more of the limitations of the Knicks when it comes to guarding the rim and how much the offense they'll be able to generate with Ausar as the POA for an entire series.

We already saw a jb coached team vs a Thibs coached team in the 2023 first round.

Pistons offense will be in the mudd, will try to turn the series into a rock fight.

I'm taking the Knicks to win the series because history will repeat itself and jb sucked as a coach in the 2022 play-in + 2023 and 2024 playoffs so i expect more of the same for this 2025 series.

That’s more of an east coast thing. In the Midwest, we show up, but not in the kind of numbers we do in Philly / Atlanta / Miami / Charlotte / DC.

I’m not going to pretend I’m scared of the Pistons unless they start injuring dudes, but you really gotta let it go and accept that Bickerstaff may have learned from some of his failings in Cleveland…the same way Thibs learned from his failure in Minnesota.

With no back to backs and our top 7 healthy, I feel really confident about this series, but this JB coached team isn’t the last JB coached team we beat in round 1.

Brunson can't run away from twin. He has show him something. Thompson will be the best defender Brunson will have ever seen in his playoffs career.

Cade could well be at the start of the series…though KAT has been in great form…but once Jalen gets his rhythm back, Brunson will be the best player in this series.

This could come down to whether the refs let you re-injure Brunson, or if he can get back to 100% over the course of the series.

I’ll take my chance with JB vs Ausar and Cade vs OG. Thibs has been very careful about OG’s defensive role throughout this regular season, to avoid overburdening him. But once the playoffs start, the restraints are likely to come off.
