Twolves, Anthony Edwards. Have gone to a couple of their games too, as I work in MN often.

Re: Which star are you rooting for get their first championship?
1. Brunson/NYK
Brief backstory here: I'm from the midwest - Ohio - but I grew up a Bulls fan in the 90s because, honestly, my dad was a fair weather Bulls fan when they got good. So we bonded over that and I became a hardcore Bulls fan and they've remained by team to the present day. Having been a Bulls fan in the 90s, I'm not supposed to root for the Knicks. But the city of New York has been important in my life outside of sports. My parents met there in college, and fell in love with the city for life. My mom's sister went to the same school and ended up staying on the east coast, in Jersey, to raise her family. I was raised in the midwest, but my brother moved to NYC after college and has lived and work there for 25 years(though he's commuting into the city now). I've taken many, many trips to NY and spent time in the city. My brother and his kid are rooting hard for the Knicks, one of my cousins is rooting for them, I can't not root for them. Plus they're just a very likable team and a great story after so many years of irrelevance and awfulness.
2. Haliburton/IND
I just have loved the way they've been playing. They move the ball incredibly well on the offensive end. They're deep. And frankly, I'm a Carlisle fan and would be happy to see him get some of his shine back after being unfairly IMO sacked from the Mavs.
3. ANT/MIN
Not much space between the West teams for me in terms of who I like, but Wolves fans have been waiting for over 25 years for a Finals run.
4. SGA/OKC
It's strange - I really liked this OKC team last year, when they were the upstarts who were better than people thought they'd be. I liked how much chemistry and excitement they head, they were like a college team. This season, I've liked them less, mainly because of the hype. Everyone going on and on about them being an ATG team and SGA's performance and so on. Even in these playoffs, no matter how fallible they've looked in this Denver series(and even in one or two of the Grizzlies games), too many people are still of the belief that "no one's beating them four times", "OKC is going to crush either of NYK or IND", etc etc etc. They jumped straight from likable upstarts to unbeatably dominant? It's like they skipped a few steps. I'm not feeling it.
The one thing is though, as a Bulls fan, I'd be happy to see Caruso succeed. Even though he's already got a ring.

Re: Which star are you rooting for get their first championship?
Tuff one. I like all of those players and teams.
Interesting conference finals. All small/mid market teams minus NY (big market). Long championship droughts for each teams as well.. Knicks (last won in 1973). Pacers (last won in 1973 ABA.... none in NBA so far.
Thunder (none as OKC Thunder.....last won in 1979 as Seattle SuperSonics). TWolves (none so far.....youngest franchise , founded in 1989).
Good luck to all the teams!

Jokic 31/21/22
Luka & Oscar = 5 x 27/8/8
The Brodie = All-out energy

Brunson and only Brunson. True leader with a champion's mentality. Always so even-keeled and equanimous.

You've obviously never been to Minneapolis. You don't even have to worry about the cold weather there because of their skyway system, it's actually a pretty neat city
I have been to the city a few times to play in events. Indy is way cooler imo. Obviously different strokes for different folks.

I'll go with Tyrese, because I would probably be an annoying genius-troll like him if I could play like him.
All human life on the earth is like grass, and all human glory is like a flower in a field. The grass dries up and its flower falls off, but the Lord’s word endures forever.

Minnesota is a state.
Hence, his statement. Minnesota has nothing going for it as a city in a meta sense (or any other sense).

I’m rooting for the knicks, but I actually don’t care much for Jalen. I don’t dislike him, he just isn’t one of the guys I root for. Thing is I’m big fans of OG, Mikel, and Hart. So Go knicks

Huh? The twin cities are really nice. Second best town in the midwest.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Where is the option for rooting for Caruso to get his 2nd ring?

I voted for Brunson. He seems like a nice guy and I kind of wanna see the city of New York shut down and riot if they win the chip. It could be legendary global headlines like the 2011 Vancouver Canucks losing to the Boston Bruins in game 7.

Ant or Shai because it would be more meaningful on their resumes.
Regarding Tyrese and Jalen it would help but not to the same extent. For example, if Brunson won Finals MVP barely anyone is gonna think that he's now all of a sudden better than someone like Luka Doncic. That would be like arguing back in 2004 after Detroit won that Billups was better than Steve Nash all of a sudden (Billups had a great career no doubt but Nash is always higher on the rankings for good reason).

I don’t love or hate any of the four remaining teams. Just looking forward to hopefully three hard fought series of good basketball.

Brunson getting a ring and Finals MVP before Luka is ridiculous
