NBA removes finals trophy decal on court for “player safety”

The in season tournament has a huge championship logo on it (not to mention all kinds of funky colors and designs). They can obviously do it for the actual finals too.

Why does it have to be a sticker? Wouldn’t it be super easy to just paint it like all the other stuff?

So as a small precaution, the NBA is getting rid of this thing that up until now no one cared about positively or negatively in any way, shape, or form, and you somehow still have people whining about it.

This is really all that needs to be said. They can paint the entire floor and add the trophy for the in season tournament, but not the finals? Makes 0 sense

How hard is it to scuff or make a decal sandpapery or slip resistant. Whoever ordered them is fired or in deep trouble.
