That is the worst game by an All-NBA player in the Finals that I’ve ever seen across multiple decades.

0 made field goals. Last time an All-NBA player failed to make a shot in a Finals game was 1958. Just absolutely embarrassing. They win that game if he’s even below average. He was disastrous in every possible way.

Worst Finals game by a star ever.

He needs to get in the weight room. Gets pushed around way too easily.

Even LeBron had 8 points in a finals game where the Heat lost by 1.

Pacers would have won game 5 if he's good enough isolation player which unfortunately he really isn't

Just seen online. It was Bill Russell of the Celtics (sprained ankle, game 3)? Tried playing through it and was ineffective all game long. And also, subsequent games.
St Louis (Atlanta) Hawks ended up winning the championship, won NBA Finals, 4-3.

That was embarrassing. Dude enters Ben Simmons mode way too often. Which is bizarre, because unlike Simmons, he can actually shoot.

As tragic as he was in 2011 (and I could argue he was worse, because he’s in a completely different tier from Hali and has bigger expectations, so he played worse relatively) he wasn’t completely disastrous until the 4th that game.

Difference is Haliburton played like that all game.

Stars can have bad games too. Unfortunate but him leading this to the NBA Finals and stretching it to a Game 6 is an accomplishment already.

And 2 TO in the 4th after everyone fought back.

But not as bad as Nembhard with 4 TURNOVERS and a little smile after each time. He's good but they should upgrade this summer.

I know he’s battling injuries and that sucks, but damn, better just to not play. Doing this actively hurts your team maybe even more than not playing and letting someone else have the spotlight.

Has anyone been calling Haliburton an MVP or superstar?

I stand corrected!
Bill Russell actually scored in those games, made FGs.

Researched more. Turns out to be Slater Martin for the Hawks. Twice in the series :o Funny tho, because the Hawks won the games and he was healthy.

Yep.

Anyone trying to put him as a top 10 sort of player was being a prisoner of the moment.

It should be considered impressive they’ve won two games in the finals against this stacked OKC team.

But he doesn’t belong in the convos with SGA, Jokic, Giannis, Brunson, Tatum, Luka etc

Not sure Brunson belongs on that list.

He needs to develop a go-to move this off season (whether it's a step back 3 or post up fade way doesn't really matter). He's one of two signature offense move from being a true superstar. I agree with one of the commentators (RJ i think), "being too unselfish sometimes is really selfish on the court".

It's an Indiana thing. Reggie Miller also went 1-16 against LA in the finals. Good to see someone playing good old basketball and keeping tradition alive!
