If Kuminga stays at the Dubs, can he be traded again before next season's mid season all star break trade deadline? I just have a feeling Kerr would prefer to move him on (this is just a baseless feeling I have here in Australia, happy to be proven wrong)

Talk about a morbid thread topic.

That's my expectation, the S&T is too difficult given the salary rules where GS can only take back 50% of what Kuminga signs for. JK comes back and gets dealt later.

Charlotte, Washington, maybe Brooklyn. Anywhere that collects under performing misfits.

His career was impacted by being drafted by GS. Kerr played around with him too much.

What’s his value to a team?

He’s not good, or efficient enough, to be a primary offensive option. So you are signing him as a role player.

What role is he playing? He doesn’t stretch the floor, he is a below average defensive player, he’s not a facilitator.

okokok hear me out. Something like this JK +1rp 2026 and 3 second round picks for cam johnson and nic claxton. warriors can even switch up the 2nds into a first perhaps.

We traded our last 2nd rd pick to move up 3 slots from 59 to 56. I guess we can send out the other half of the protected 2nd, so 30-50.

I think something around this or similar would be enticing to the nets. They need a Star. they struck out in the lotto this year, they DEFINITELY dont want to win in the loaded 2026 draft class. Kuminga can certainly spread his wings in an evironment like that. any warriors fan can tell you that hes capable of 22 a night on league average scoring with middling defense and no wins.

Yep, totally on Kerr that he can’t shoot, dribble or defend

With the lack of teams having cap space I am surprised more teams aren't playing hardball. Like Naz Reid probably could have been signed for 18-19 million. It will be interesting to see what Grimes and Yasubele go for most teams have the MLE so 14M ish

Kuminga was a way overrated prospect.

If he goes to Miami, what is Miami trading back? Rozier and trash?

A good example of why lotto talent usually dont want to be drafted to good teams. Theres lots of examples of their development taking a back seat, few examples of things working out perfectly

itd be a weird situation, hes obviously a RFA so they wont lose him for nothing but if he really doesnt want to be there he can just sign and demand a trade. Either way he probably doesnt end up exactly where he wants to be. Going to MIA would have to be a favor to him and i dont see why GS would do that

not really lets see if he pans out wearing another jersey. TBH warriors is the perfect team to start your career, you play along side with HOFs and learning about how to win games. Sadly after 292 games he is still not ready.
