You mean like when the Clippers traded Shai? Kings trading Hali?

Could also be that those teams trading away young players don't know what they have.

Never seen a player drafted 20th and commanding a massive 2x 2nds hyped as much as this guy.

That's a future 20 point scorer that can score on all 3 levels. Yeah, not bad for a non lottery pick. Of course you don't get it.

Why would Houston do this? I thought he was part of their future plans

C’mon … I clearly meant when they trade a young player for scraps or not much. My bad I didn’t write another paragraph with that disclaimer though.

Shai was traded for an All NBA player.

Hali was traded for a 2x all star.

Whitmore was traded for 2 second round picks.

One of these things is not like the others.

Why are the Rockets trading him for nothing?

Not surprised Whitmore was moved.. pretty much inevitable due to Houston's wing group. He stays healthy and right, he'll be very good. Glad that he'll probably get a big opportunity in Wizland.

But wow, just for two second round picks?

Good offseason for Washington continues

What a god awful trade by the Rockets.

This move screams Udoka. He never wanted to give Whitmore burn which is dumb because the times he did play he was dropping buckets. He has the best scoring potential on this roster other than Durant and you trade him for 2 seconds? really?

He is ONLY 20 years old. He can get better.

This about to be Tobias Harris to the Magic all over again huh?

Ughh im so pissed.

This feels like Rockets only called Wizards

I don't think kid is good, but that said. Looks like they took nothing else back and traded him into an exception. That's why you got low value like 2 second rounders. Also, Houston is betting the wizards suck. High second round picks

His head coach at the time from Villanova (go who took over for wright) ripped him, his work ethic and ability to nba scouts. That is a killer.

Each of those trades brought back all stars to the clippers (Paul George) and Kings (sabonis).

Half-Man, Half-a-Season. Mediocre 3pt shooter, low-volume nobody. Below-average at almost everything. Pretty mid at Villanova.

He's gonna be 21, and he's athletic, but he's also got T-Rex arms, blows chunks in isolation, doesn't run the PnR well, and isn't a particularly good shooter.

21 year-old with athleticism for 2 SRPs isn't bad, though. Be interesting to see if the fairly wide-open field in Washington is good for his development.

Udoka hates whitmore. He has full control of the roster and free agent decisions.

He’s the one that wanted VanVleet and brooks two off seasons, when owner and GM wanted harden back.

Udoka wanted Durant, when fertitta was hesitant of trading for an aging star, but they trust him.

He wanted cam off the team.

Yeah on the bright side, Rockets aren't stuck with crap contracts like Sabonis or PG.

They're gonna regret this trade all the same though. Cam could be an all star down the line.

Two of those guys brought back all-star caliber players.

Whitmore brought back dartthrows.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.
