I think we're gonna get another year of Giannis playing for Milwaukee and Raptors fans dreaming about getting him

And another year of Milwaukee flaming out in the first round wondering why they can't get Giannis help.

The Bucks are not contending starting KPJ, Trent and Kuzma at the 1-3. I don’t care how good Giannis is.

Anthony Edwards plus, then trade Randle for a good PG? A McDaniels, Giannis, Gobert defense would be a lot of fun.

Giannis is one of the four best players in the league. Even if Ant is #5, there’s a pretty big gap. Offers need to respect Giannis

I can't prove it, but I think the plan is in the summer, it's Reaves S&T, Knecht, 2026 FRP (picked for MIL), 2031 and 2033 FRPs and whatever swaps Milwaukee wants.

Lakers will have a ton of room under the cap this summer to absorb the difference in salary

Of course, that isn't to say Milwaukee would find that package attractive, but if he says the magic words "Trade me to the Lakers", then the Lakers can preserve cap space for a year and have even more cap space in 2027 to go after guys

More then likely something like that, I saw this at work. Got me thinking

Trade for Giannis, then we sign Thanasis and we will have, Giannis/Thanasis, Lebron, Bronny and Luka starting line up

Trade Lebron for him. Instant 1st round exit turned into championship contenter.

Garland and Mobley (plus the at least one 1st Cavs have) is a realistic trade offer.

Not sure that is enough value for Thanasis.

Considering Giannis wants to win right now, I'll limit the options to teams with championship odds below 1000: Thunder, Cavs, Nuggets, Knicks.

Thunder: Not sure if they want to break up their championship core for Giannis. They might be better off standing pat and continuing chasing another title with the core they've already got.
Cavs: Would the Cavs be willing to trade Mobley? Other than that don't see what they can offer that would make sense for the Bucks.
Nuggets: Don't see a good fit here with Jokic on the roster.
Knicks: Not sure if/how the salaries would match, but the Knicks could potentially put together a competitive package for Giannis, and probably Giannis would absolutely love playing in MSG.

Kuzma will be traded if he don’t accept his role and he is not starting. KPJ and Trent will be a good back court for Giannis they both can shoot. This team lead the league in 3 pt percentage expect a lot of 3’s this year with great defense.

And that would still be a lot better than a poop platter of Scottie Barnes and late 1sts

No shrinky… you move heaven and earth to find a way to get Edwards and Giannis together.

A lot of people say that, and sure, it would be fantastic to pair both players. But the reality of the situation is that stacking minor asset on minor asset doesn’t reach the trade value offer of a team’s #1 player.

Look at MIN. They have some positive assets, in Jaden McDaniels, Donte DiVincenzo, Naz Reid, Gobert/Randle, TJ Shannon, Rob Dillingham. But if you were MIL, I think you’d rather have young, locked up Ant over all that combined. Stars drive franchises, not lots of complimentary players.

I love Ant and would miss him terribly, but over the next few years, Giannis is a better player. Already a HOF lock. I don’t think there is a realistic, winning trade offer in heaven and earth that any teams can make that doesn’t include their best asset as a headliner.

Dude, fit would be insane. But what has Denver to offer?

Giannis with Luka 26-27 is almost a cheat code, and not going to happen. Who is the star of the team? Giannis is one of the three best players in the league, he’s not going to be Robin.

Who is starting over Kuzma? And if you need to trade him that means he’s a bad contract and you have one of the worst draft assets (and young player) bases to try and make an upgrade. If Kuzma can’t be a “solid” starting level player that will make your 1-3 even worse.

I can’t see how you keep up your 3pt shooting considering you lost Dame, who is one of the best 3pt shooters ever. How are you making up that volume (and shot difficulty)?

Who are you getting secondary playmaking from? KPJ and Anthony? Those are some of the worst secondary playmaking options in the league.

There’s no way Giannis can carry this team to contender level. Outside of Giannis and Turner I don’t know if they even have another clear cut starting level player (especially if Kuzma is going to continue to struggle).

The Nuggets can’t put together a package that gets Giannis. They don’t have the assets.

That said, how is Giannis not a good fit with Jokic? He might not be able to shoot like Gordon (who isn’t even a great shooter) but he is a massive upgrade in every other way.

What are the Nuggets main issues?

Rim protection with Jokic on the floor? No longer a problem with Giannis

Lacking a backup C when Jokic sits? Not an issue anymore, play Giannis at C with Jokic out.

Giannis solves the Nuggets biggest problems and you optimize Giannis best abilities by continuing to pair him with a passing/spacing big in Jokic.

I don’t think Giannis would need to go to already set contenders because he could make solid teams into contenders. Teams like the Hawks or Spurs could come up with enticing packages that wouldn’t gut their cores while allowing the Bucks to rebuild around young players (Risacher, Johnson, Harper, etc) and ideally get some of their near term picks back allowing them to rebuild over the next 2-3 years.

KAT, Bridges, Dadiet, Kolek and picks. They'd counter & ask for OG but that would be my first offer
