Yeah I know how many MPG he played, if he has other guys like Kyrie in 23-24, then great. We watched him basically solo score points over and over, it's a huge load to expect of someone. JJ played him 35MPG last year, I think that's more sustainable and his career average. Your 37.5 figure he did once with a full season of Kyrie.
I'm not ripping JJ, I just worry JJ might chase wins and overload him with LeBron out.
If he was playing that half the season, it's a different situation, but two games in, he played 41 in a close loss (was closer than the 10 points) and then 35 in an 18 ot win.
It's not anywhere close to enough games for us to think he'll be playing 38 mpg the whole season or for us to suggest it has anything to do with an early injury, which is a finger injury anyway, and a thigh contusion which is a bang bang injury. Of course two games in, no one is getting overuse injuries yet unless they are Mr. Glass which Luka is not.
