Yeah, more Miller style. Or more Spanoulis style, for a European basketball comparison.

Slovenia without Luka isn't much better than Cyprus or Mozambique. It's incredible how terrible many of the European teams are without their one generational talent.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Slovenia being so bad makes no sense. In the 2000s, they were a stacked national team. They had more talent and depth than Germany has now.

These FIBA qualifier windows have shown for quite some time now, that the only Euopean national team programs that have any real player depth at all, are Spain, France, and Greece.

That's it. Just those three can go to a third level team and still be consistehtky good in these qualifiers. And in the case of Spain, they are rapidly becoming worse all around, and are clearly in danger of falling out of that small list of just three. Which could soon leave only France and Greece.

That's because the Yugoslav school is somewhat outdated.

As for player depth, Germany has should be included. Spain has few players in the fiba window that actually play important roles on their teams

Germany are definitely the European team that is trending up in depth, while Spain is really trending down.

Spain is going right down the same path Italy went down.
