Who the hell is "I"?

Lawrence Frank? Steve Ballmer?

If he isn't the one to blame then why cut him? CP3 isn't playing well and he is definitely part of why they are 5-17 or 5-16 whatever but he is just a small part of this mess. He is retiring and in his farewell tour and you cut him. This franchise.

There's definitely more to the story.

The transition from "I" to "we" maks me suspect this wasn't well thought out and prepared for

This is Clippers doing CP3 a big favor... they allowing him to sign with anyone he likes now, would you have preffered staying on .333 team as 40 year old without a ring?

Come to Orlando and take Tyus Jones' spot in the rotation.

Love how the statement says "We are working with him on the next steps in his career" which sounds like they'll keep him in some capacity and prepare for a career after his career, yet it's more a we don't waive you right away cause we can't because of the 14 player limit. What a ungrateful franchise.

lol…what a mess the clippers are.

To those saying “CP3 probably asked for it and the Clippers are doing him a favor” CP3 instagram post, the way it was announced, and the fact that the Clippers didn’t explicitly say CP3 has asked for it, makes it hard for me to believe it’s a simple mutual friendly breakup.

That said, we don’t have all the facts that I could easily see CP3 wanting this and whether directly or indirectly making that known.

More details will come out and I’m interested to see what went down.

Should've never signed him in the first place. It wasn't going to end well. He's not the type of guy to sit on the bench no matter if he can barely get the ball across half court. In his mind he's a starter, period. He probably cursed out Ty Lue repeatedly after every loss and had teammates pitted against each other. The problem is he isn't the all star "point gawd" anymore and nobody wants to hear it from him. Its sad he's getting waived during his farewell tour, but it'll be good for him to get away from this dumpster fire of a franchise. Its a complete sh*t show right now.

Doesn't matter, CP3 has finally fallen off the cliff. He still has all the knowledge and skill but can no longer compete athletically at this level. And he's an **** rather than a good veteran locker room guy. No reason for a playoff team to sign him unless they knew he would embrace any number of DNP-CDs.

Wait so signing a bunch of pensioners wasn’t a great idea to win a championship?

Who would have thunk it!

Unfortunately Ishbia screwed him as well so I don't think he would come back to the Suns. Would love to have him back.

A lot of people jumping to conclusions, blaming CP3 and/or the Clippers front office etc. We really don't have nearly enough information yet, so personally I'm holding judgement until we find out more.

Trying to force his way to Lakers I reckon. Good thing. Another failure to Lebron's resume I reckon.

CP0 is the most washed up player of the league currently and it's not even close (this is saying a lot when Lebron is still out there padding his stats playing). He should just retire.
