I'm cautiously optimistic about my Rockets given that they have had a rougher schedule than anyone and have played well against the best teams in the league, but dang ... everybody in the West top 8 right now has 20 wins or more. That's scary. The Rockets are going to need a significant win streak or two to get back in this thing. The good news is that with the soft, home-heavy schedule ahead, they should be able to pull it off and get back into the thick of things.

Probably for like the first 2 games. But then after that Phoenix will finally find out how to fully utilize Stoudemire and Marion on the smaller Warriors frontline.
I dunno....they pretty much run us out of the building when we play them, which is ridiculous.

not that many people have portland in the playoffs yet they have beaten denver 2 out of 3 games and took the season series from utah 3-1 so im thinking they have a pretty good shot at winning the division because this one looks like it will be very close betwen those three towards the end of the season, the blazers own the tie breakers with both teams, and neither of them have brandon roy on their team!

How dear you. You incompotent monster(not what I reall wanted to say, but you get the point). I can't believe that you have the hornets sitting right behind San Antonio and ahead of Phoenix. On top of that you have the Lakers and Warriors out of the playoffs. Then on top of that you have THREE TEAMS from the Southwest division in the TOP FOUR. I'll correct your errors, thats what were here for.
1.Spurs
2.Suns
3.Lakers
4.Portland
5.Mavericks
6.Hornets
7.Warriors
8.Jazz
Spurs over the Jazz in 5
Warriors over the Suns in 7
Lakers over the Hornets in 6
TrailBlazers over the Mavericks in 7
Spurs over the TrailBlazers in 6
Lakers over the Warriors in 5
Spurs over the Lakers in 5
Then on top of that you have 2 PACIFIC teams in the top 3 standings.

That's the same way I feel about Utah. We had a brutal month of December but our schedule gets really easy in Jan and Feb with a ton of home games. I think over the next 2 months we'll make our move and take over the division lead. I don't see us doing anything in the playoffs though.

^^You can probably do something in the playoffs if you face the Warriors again. Warriors usually do bad against the Spurs and Jazz, but we always do good against Phoenix, Houston, Dallas etc.
And to continue about my Warriors, we're playing Portland next. After we play Portland, we're going to have 10 straight games against current teams that are below .500. And in the month of February, the Warriors only have 1 road game. Warriors and Suns played the most road games in the league so far, yet Warriors are still 5 games over .500 and only getting better and better as the season progresses.
I'd like to thank the New Orleans Hornets for beating us and inspiring us to play great basketball for the rest of the season. We just finished outing the Spurs in an overtime game that showcased our mental toughness. This will be like last season, when the Washington Wizards beat the Warriors and inspired them to play great ball the rest of the season. After the Washington loss, Golden State went to Detroit and beat the Pistons by 30+ points in their own building. They had the toughest remaining schedule in the league and went 16-5 in those last 21 games.

The Lakers wouldn't destroy us... Baron/Jax will put the clamps on Kobe again, and Biedrins just guarded TD pretty well; he'll do the same on Bynum.
But a Suns/GS matchup would be sweet/

Yeah two teams from the PACIFIC DIVISON can be in the top four. I guess your either a Rockets, Mavericks, or Hornets fan. The reason why I said thos teams is because the Lakers, Suns, and Spurs will take the top three seeds leaving the 4th seed to the Northewest (i.e. the Nuggets, Jazz, or Portland). What I'm really saying is that the Lakers, Suns, and Spurs will beat out the rest of the Western Conference for the top 3 Spots.
