This is exactly the kind of thing that can catapult a team into contender status. Look for the Knicks to take over the NBA in the coming weeks.

Fixed.

Better watch out they gonna make some noise in the playoffs

bitter?

its the first half of the season, players (if conditioned) shouldnt be THAT tired..

knicks also played those 3 wins in 4days n looked fine, and didnt have a 2 day break since the 6th n 7th (6games in 9days)

soccer conditioning(90minutes 100+ yard field) >>>> bball (48minutes of short runs)

gimme a breaaaaaaaaak with the excuses, not like nba players play hard anyway, or at least most of em nowadays

Yea, and New Jersey lost because Knicks played back to back nights.

basketball players have no where near the endurance of a soccer player, that argument doesn't even work.

Playing back to back night also shouldn't be an argument because these are professionals who get payed to millions to play/win.

That is good. I don`t want them to be too bad, so they don`t get a top 3 pick. Mediocrecy is the best...

Studies have shown that teams are typically 8 points worse than normal when playing the 4th game in 5 nights. Home court advantage is also worth 3 points. So basically, the Knicks were spotted an 11 point advantage against Detroit and Washington.

The Sagarin ratings suggest that Detroit is 13 points better than New York under neutral conditions, so New York should have been a 2 point underdog that game.

Sagarin has Washington as a 7 points better than New York, so New York should have been favored that game by 4.

New York was coming off a back-to-back against Jersey (which usually hurts a team by about 3 points). Jersey is 3 points better than New York so New York should have been 6 point underdogs (I don't think home court advantage really applies in this case).

So basically, New York should have lost by 2 to Detroit. Winning was nice, but nothing to write home about.

New York should have won by 4 against Washington. That win was expected.

New York should have lost by 6 to Jersey. That was a quality win.

As a Pistons fan since the Bad Boys in 88' I am happy for Isiah to get some wins under his belt. No doubt he has made MANY bad mistakes in his basketball career after his playing days - However bashing Isiah has become Americas favorite past time as of late. He does not deserve to be treated as badly as he has.

He hired Larry Brown with the hopes of making NY a prominent basketball team. Basically stealing him from Detroit. Larry Brown does NOTHING for NY so Isiah decides to stick his own neck out there as the coach. He has made some bad basketball decisions, but as a Coach I think he is at the very least "Slightly above Average" He has helped guys like Lee succeed.

Isiah was a very hated player, like Laimbeer. If these guys make a stink everyone claims they **** their pants. But these guys KNOW the game inside and out, and they are HUGE competitors. They want to win, and Isiah probably wants to win more than some of the players do.
