Breen/JVG/Jackson + Chuck/Kenny/Ernie =

But hey, that's just my opinion.

I love the Jackson/Van Gundy/Breen squad. Van Gundy is awesome and I love how him and Jackson like to pick on Breen when he makes mistakes. The only problem I got is Jackson can be obnoxious but overall they bring a great combo of laughs, banter and solid basketball analysis.

Kevin Harlen and Doug Collins are the best, if you want informative commentary, Harlen is easily IMO the most exciting when something big happens.

But I like JVG and Jackson, they are alright, JVG is the best out of them though.

Mike Breen and Mark jackson = fake commentary.
They are so fake when they commentate the game.

Harlan and Collins are at the top.

I'm annoyed that many still don't know that he was 'on the job' when his eye was injured. :nonono:

He was injured by a wayward football thrown by a pretty good NFL QB during practice.

It might have been, I read one version and heard one version, both versions mentioned the same NFL team and a few people who were 'in the area' but my comment was to point out that 'on the job' injuries shouldn't be ridiculed.

RIGHT IN THE EYE! BOO YAH!!!

I think former coaches, due to their experience explaining the game to players, make the best analysts. I don't really care about the color guy, I don't need their insight, but coaches who have experience playing and game planning against the players in the game offer a unique perspective.

JVG is a God among commentators. He needs to stick to the booth, and keep away from the coaching bench. He'll live a much more fulfilling life this way.

Harlen and Collins are the best for big important games with a lot of physical play.

Van Gundy can cure any snoozer with his quips, he's hilarious.

Van Gundy is easily the funniest and insightful announcer....team him up with Walton and people might actually forget there's a basketball game on.

Breen and Harlen are the worst.....so many bad play calls you don't even need NBA officials with these two announcing.

The best team is the one announcing the WCF right now. Marv and Doug. They were NBC's top team. And then you pair them with TNT's studio, why are so many people so nostalgic for NBC? Was John Tesh's music that incredible?

TNT>NBC

TNT has it all, the picture quality, sound, Charles Barkeley, the best announcers, etc.

I guess i'm the only one who can't stand JVG. I hate how he starts to whine when someone disagrees with something he says.

Outside of Van Gundy and my boy Hubie Brown, there is not really anyone on the ESPN/ABC telecasts that I enjoy listening to. The only thing that makes Mark Jackson interesting, is that he has good chemistry with Van Gundy. You put him on a different announce team, and he will fail.
