Re: Kobe Says Bring It Ray Allen
"I think the point production is not going to be so much what people are going to look at because (Tracy) McGrady did it in Orlando, Allen (Iverson) did it in Philly. Can you win a championship? I think that's the question. Carrying guys on your back and making everybody better."
That's exactly what Kobe did for two years...
he needs two and a half good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship
Gasol, Odom, and Fisher..that IS two and a half!(and bynum)
in about a year or two he'll be calling out to Jerry Buss that 'We need some help in here,' or 'Trade me,'
Hey, that did happen!!

Is this really news. They have played head to head a bunch of times since then. Ray when he was in Seattle played Kobe straight up in some of those games. They had some very good matchups. Ray is now a third option and Kobe is the MVP of the league.I'm sure the media is going to bring up those comments but its really old news.

I doubt he'd be saying the same thing if Shaq had actually been his teammate. Notice how organizations who end up trading him don't miss him anymore?
I don't find that to be coincidental. Kobe has his share of blame with what went wrong but Shaq is no angel either. He's been bounced from too many teams for me to think otherwise.
