Basketball isn't played with your head.

As long as his standing reach is above average he should be fine.He has the strength already,so he isn't a tooth pick of a big man

Doesn't matter, Dwight Howard was 6'9 barefoot, and look at him.

The only thing this changes for me is prove to me that I think he will ultimately play small forward in this league. I think its just his skill set, but I feel like he would be better dominating small forwards then banging against power forwards. Not to mean he won't be able too, I expect the guy to grow one or two more inches, everyone does when there that young, but I've always just felt like he's better off being a small forward.

I always knew he was 6'8"/6'7"... that's what was there last year prior to the season on one or two sites.

Also can just look at him, and he's not 6'10".

I've always thought he's more of a SF, but a bigger one. Just because of his game and size situation. Wonder how he'll be defensively though, (positional) - too big, too slow? Or just enough overall. The former would make him a Jamison/Harrington-like tweener foward, defensively.

6'10 or 6'8, Beasley is still going to be a force in the NBA.

Boozer is 6'9 in shoes, 6'7 3/4 barefoot. But he's always played in big lineups so it's not like he's running around at center. On Utah they have a starting lineup with Okur and AK.

Dwight's a beast though, even at 6'9 1/2.

I thought Al Horford was small for a center at 6'8 3/4...so Beasley is only ~6'6 3/4? Wow ...join the ranks of 6'6 post players...Maxiel, Millsap, Diogu...great post players true, but defensively you don't want them guarding true big men...weakside defense is a little dubious too.

What is his standing reach and wingspan? He isn't shooting or blocking shots with his head, so that matters more. David West also isn't that tall, but he has a very nice wingspan and reach, so he has no problem.

Apparently his measurements are exactly like Carmelo's when he came out for the Draft.

Beasley will still be a hell of a player.

Height is overrated, unless it comes to freakish guys like Yao Ming or midgets like Nate Robinson.

For guys in the 6'8" to 6'11" range, standing reach and wingspan is more important than their height. Look at Elton Brand. Only 6'8" and a great player. Boozer is close to 6'8" and a great player. Dwight Howard is 6'9", 6'10" and plays like a 7'2" player.

There is nothing to worry about Beasley's height.

I havent decided who I think is the biggest sleeper in the draft and who will be the biggest bust, but Beasly just might be my biggest bust choice.

He just doesnt look like a star or act like one.

I dont know how people have not yet learned to ignore height measurements without shoes. NBA heights are listed with players wearing shoes. Nearly every player in the league would be undersized if we used their w/o shoes measurement. Beasley is not 6'7-6'8 in the NBA; He's 6'8-6'9. His standing reach (8-11) is higher than the measurements of Kevin Love, Josh Smith, David Lee, Joakim Noah, and Udonis Haslem, and the same as Al Horford and Chris Wilcox.

The comparisons to Larry Johnson and Charles Barkley are a little extreme as both measured just over 6'5 without shoes. Melo also measured a full inch shorter than Beasley with and without shoes.

All the more reason the Bulls should pass on his undersized ass.

Lol well in that case Bosh, who is taller than Dwight by an inch, should be listed at 7'0 instead of his barefoot height of 6'10. Gasol would be 7'2, Bynum would be 7'2, Odom would be 6'11, Duncan would be 7'0, Tyson Chandler would be 7'2, Yao Ming would be 7'7, Thabo Sefolosha would be 6'8 rather than 6'5, Andre Miller , Baron Davis, and Monta Ellis would be 6'4, Ray Allen would be 6'6, Paul Pierce would be 6'8, KG would be 7'1, Andrei Kirilenko would be 6'10 or 6'11...etc etc etc probably 1/3 of the league is underlisted...
