And one could make an argument for that those aforementioned players don't have a better overall game than Wade. -- What's your point?

Allen and Redd are some of the BEST shooters in the League, but that's their strength; their lights-out shooting.

Exactly, check his shooting in the 06 playoffs...he shot less that 40 percent all over the court besides inside the paint. Sorry but the dudes J is broke, if that stat is accurate.

This past season he only shot over 40 percent from 3 spots, outside the paint because hes a great mid range shooter. Oh for real???

Problem with hot spots is people don't realize the low shooting percentages for all players.

#1 is Kobe
#2 is Wade

Kobe overall from mid-range 37.6%
Wade overall from mid-range 36.8%

Wade was better in 06/07 when he was healthy too.

At this point, making the HoF doesn't mean much(or at least as much as it should) because there are a lot of players in it who don't belong, and even more who will be in it soon who don't belong.

As it stands now? Wade doesn't belong, and a couple more solid years isn't enough to get him there.

It's a bball HoF so I think he would just based off his college run and what he's done in the NBA up to this point, including the title run and amazing performance in the finals, the sports biggest stage. But 2 or 3 more non injured years is most likely enough for sure.

wow how clever. :noway: That argument is such bs, just b/c he doesn't settle for jumpers doesnt mean the refs cant ignore obvious fouls. I blame Mark Cuban for all the whining. But continue the hate.

People like "Rasheeed!!!" are saying he has one of the best mid-range jumpers in the league though. It's a good chart to compare his percentage to other people. His jumper is average at best so far.

I believe Rasheed is being sarcastic in his comment, while BRINGTHEPAIN believes he is one of the best midrange shooters.

LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, and Shaq would have photos of refs, too, eh?

This ref saying/notion is mind numbingly (Please Use More Appropriate Word) beyond years.

looking at some players that are in the HOF..2-3 years of All Star level should be enough..

His stats are good enough..he had a historic Finals and led his team to a title as the clear #1 option..how many people did that?

In the past 18 years its been Jordan, Hakeem, Duncan, and Shaq..thats it!

BRINGTHEPAIN wrote:Most of his 34ppg in the NBA Finals were from mid-range. Thats the range he relies on in the clutch, and those Finals were extremely close and full of clutch moments. Wade shot 61% from the field vs Detroit in the Conference Finals. So I would say Wade is one of the best mid-range shooters in the NBA, and at his best he is the best mid-range shooter. He shot 47% this season despite his movement not returning, so the mid-range game played a role in that.

So are you counting the free throw line in the mid range?

Take away ALL his free throws and he averaged 23 points a game ..thats still more points a game than anyone on both teams .. i dont see how you score 23 a game without hitting a lot of midrange jumpshots.

every postseason run his midrange has been great, much better than in the regular season...In 2004 and 2006 he actually shot well from 3 (38%) also ....

His flopping... his "fall 8 times and get up 10 times" bs should not give him passage to the HOF.

F* him, he's a bia bia.
