The worst part was that 2 of the 3 were ALWAYS injured all year until the playoffs. The Lakers were basically playing the pu pu platter and a sulking Smush Parker was starting for the Lakers.

That team somehow made the playoffs led by Kobe's ridiculous play post all star break when he averaged 39ppg on 49% shooting for about 25-30 games along with that ridiculous 50+ streak.

I think TD should be able to do the same. What he needs to do is simple. DEMAND the ball every time down the floor and get his teammates open shots by getting double teamed. Other superstars would not be forgiven for what the Spurs record is about to become. Tim Duncan, unfortunately and God Love him, should be NO different in this instance either. He needs to man up, or accept the criticism and realize that he is more a product of the system and fellow teammates. This is your time to make it happen Tim. The entire Spurs franchise is relying on you to get it done. Make it happen.

He's not a product of the system and fellow teammates, but I do agree that it's time for Timmy Duncan to show the league why everyone regards him as the best PF EVER, and I think he can do it. The man's a living legend.

Probably the most dangerous low seed (excluding GSW a couple years ago I guess) to ever play? By that time, their big 3 should all be healthy and clearly no one ever WANTS to face them in a playoff series if thats the case.

Spurs would be OK at the point if they had kept Beno Udrih I guess. They'll be scrapping to make the playoffs now, Duncan will be worn out trying to carry this squad until Tony and Manu come back. Marbury seems like a real good option for the Spurs, or maybe they bring back Damon Stoudamire bottom line is they have to do something.

WOW losing Manu and now Parker is a huge loss for the Spurs. I think there streak of making the playoffs is over.

Beno Udrih? he'd be good to have, but our PG position won't be our downfall..I'd rather let George Hill get the majority of the minutes and let him develop..that hasn't been our problem and won't be..

other than the injuries, the MAIN reason we've struggled is because of our defense..we aren't playing Spurs defense at all..the rotation has been horrible, allowing way too many open shots..too many old guys getting major minutes, which has significantly affected the defense..

Duncan has proved he's not a product of the system from 2002 until 2004, where he was winning MVP's and was carrying role players..Duncan at age 32 with Roger Mason as his #2 option and nobody as the #3 option isn't going to make or break his legacy LOL..

they'll fall to the lottery, get a lottery pick, hit the jackpot with the player they select, and go on to win more championships like they always have
