Stern can EASILY manipulate the numbers so that KG will get the start at the end. If Yi wins, there will be complaints heard from everywhere. That will put pressure on Stern to change the way the voting system works. He's not going to allow that.

 Conspiracy theorists. So cute.

And if the Chinese find out? I don't think he wants to risk assassination by ninja death squad.

How so? Why would they vote for a black or white man as the Chinese prime minister?

Because of 'us' man! Don't you get it?! RealGM decides pretty much everything in the NBA, David Stern knows his place.

I personally think it's a travesty that Yi will be an All Star this year (albeit a bencher), but I'll be voting for him anyway because it might build a fire under Stern's ass to encourage change.

Garnett overheard that Yi was on his heels from a conversation Pierce was having. "It's not about skill so I'm not worried about it," said the 11-time All-Star. "If that's who the fans want to see . . . I've served my time and had my fun at All-Star. If they want to see Yi or whoever the competition is, Paul told me it was Yi or somebody, it's what it is. I'm enjoying this 21-2 [record]. It ain't about skill. I ain't hating. It's all good." Boston Globe

I'd do this just to get that overbearing KG out of the all-star game. who knows it might bring him back to street level.
