1. Kobe(had no Gasol for the first 10 or so games, leads league in scoring)
2. LBJ(incredible numbers as usual)
3. Dirk(big reason for Dallas' early success)
4. Nash(same for Phoenix)
5. Melo(great all around play)

He also played 11 games at home (of 14). And he leads the league by 0.4 point while shooting 4 more shots than LeBron.

This. Its crazy how anyone doesnt have Lebron at number 1 right now. His state line is absurd, all the other MVP candidates have MUCH more talent around them does LBJ.

What a joke.
I know. What's funny is that none of those guys are playing better than LeBron, and they all have the same number of wins (11) except for Nash (12).

lol sorry been so busy over thanksgiving break haven't had much time to actually see the scores, stats and games from this past week....
Well looks like LeBron has been playing great this week, also just saw NBA.com's MVP ranks and he's first so i guess its allrite he's #1 then.

Looks like Lebron will run away with it again
He's got 43 AST% he's pretty much a point guard
also the 63 TS% doesn't hurt that's in league-leading territory

I think you have to have Pierce in your list somehwere. He is having a very solid year with good shooting.

Re: MVP Rankings 1.0
I've got:
1. Kobe
2.Bron
3. Nash
4. Dirk
5. Melo
Bron and Kobe are interchangeable to me right now. LeBron is putting up some ridiculous stats. Kobe isn't falling off like people expected him to.
Dirk and Nash are still performing at a very high level and have a case for some 1st place votes. Melo is steady at #5 as the Nuggets seem to be following his lead.
All in all, a very close race so far. More so than last year.

Re: MVP Rankings 1.0
I've allready tweaked the formula a bit to take into account how a team did last year. Because of this a few players will rise in the rankings.
Still I don't understand how people put Pierce and Roy in there lists while leaving out Bosh.
For this list I took a total of 20 players and statistically Pierce and Roy are 18/19. Efficiency wise they are 16/20. And in wins they are 10/14 (takes into account that the Celtics had a better record last season).
Chris Bosh on the other hand has a mediocre team that's for sure but he's 3rd stat wise and 4th in efficiency.

I think Carmelo Anthony bumped himself up a bit last night. LeBron is still in first place though.

Carmelo indeed had a very good game tonight. Might bump him up above Nowitzki.
What do ya'll think about my thoughts about Pierce, Roy & Bosh a few posts back?
