It's about whether or not he defended better than Douglas and whether or not Lin being benched in OT was justified. The fact is that Lin was better than Douglas both offensively and defensively, so it was not justified.

If it wasn't "justified" then why did the coaching staff do it? I'm assuming they're motivated to win the game, and to place the right players in position to do so.

If it was so abundantly clear that Lin was "better than Douglas both offensively and defensively" then he would have been on the floor in OT.

This is a logical fallacy. the topic being debated is whether or not the benching by the coach was justified.

Look, it isn't just "Lin fanboys" questioning the coaching. From long-time Rockets fans (NOT Lin bandwagoners) to their beat writer to analysts, this move raised eyebrows.

Because even if you want Douglas in for some ball pressure, you lose so much on offense. It just doesn't flow very well with Harden/Douglas on the court.

But surely any Knicks fan knows this! Why they're in this thread trying to justify this coaching decision is beyond me, since they would have cut off their own arm to keep Douglas out of Knicks games last season. A leg too, if it was OT.
