Not discounting Lebron AT ALL but just to correct you. He is only behind one other player. That player is Wade who led us to three championships and five EC titles.

Wade did not lead you to 3 championships. Wade lead you to one. Lebron lead you to 4 Finals appearances and 2 championships.

I understand that Wade is more likable because he stayed. But at the end of the day, Lebron did more for your franchise. If Lebron didn't come to the Heat, they wouldn't have done anything since 06.

Lebron brought you 4 EC titles and 2 championships. I'm sorry youre butthurt that he left.

But yes he brought more to the Miami Heat organization than any other player they have ever had, including Wade.

I'll say this again.

Miami does not have to retire Lebrons jersey to celebrate the championships because they have in house another HOFer to justify not 2 but 3.

We are not talking about a split up with hugs and kisses, we're talking bad blood between Pat Riley (the creator :wink:

), Arison and son (owner and future owner).

The majority of Heat fans have a problem with how disgraceful Lebron little sneaky departure was trying to handycap the franchise by also taking its remaining players. Snake move IMO. So the Heat has no pressure by fans what so ever to hung up his jersey, to the contrary, many will be quite unhappy.

They will play along when his name comes up in relation to the championships, but having Wade will be enough to celebrate it.

Wilt won 1 title and while dominating was never mvp. LeBron has 2 titles and 2 mvps with Miami. Unless you are a top 10 player all time you don't get those in a entire career. Retired number no brainer.

It would be a huge indictment on their franchise if they don't. Oh, so they can party and laugh at the rest of the league when they snag him and can pout when he leaves after 2 titles and 4/4 Finals trips? Not only is it hypocritical, but it shows a huge lack of perspective of just how lucky they were to have what they had.

It would make me sick if they don't, personally.

Jordan's jersey wasn't retired for his performance vs the Heat. It was retired for what he meant to basketball.

Lebron doesn't qualify by that standard either.

What does Cleveland have to do with this conversation? This is about LeBron's jersey hanging for the Heat, nothing to do with Cleveland here.

LeBron led Miami to two NBA Championships and won two MVPs there. I think it would be nuts to not retire the jersey. The Heat fans that are comparing LeBron leaving Miami to DeAndre Jordan spurning the Mavericks need to come to reality and get a grip.

Because of the teams he had? Plus you got Lebron when he entered his prime both physically and mentally.

I find it hilarious that Heat fans act like they would have done anything since 2006 without Lebron. If you want to credit Wade's importance on the 2006 win, and actually getting Lebron to Miami, that's fine. But don't act like you would have won without Lebron, that'ts just senile.
