This is waaay too easy. The Kings are one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA. They have the best overall player, but between the player, coach, GM and owner, there is too much drama for them to work as a cohesive unit. Jazz all day...

Id seriously take Gobert over Cousins. Does that make me insane?

Gobert transformed that Jazz defense, and I have no reason to think he wont be even better this year. He would have won DPOY had he started all year. Its a long, long time since someone has locked down the paint like he does.

Favors is the most underrated PF in the league and Hayward is a great player now who will do a lot of the ball handling.

Yes. Jazz are light at PG,but Burks and Hayward will handle predominantly and Snyder seems capable of pulling that off.

And to be honest, having seen Rondo last year, id almost take no PG over him.

Depends on the makeup of the team you have. A legit rebounder, shot blocker and rim protector is huge if you have another scorer,

No you're not insane. I would as well, and it wouldn't even be a hard decision.

More Kings lunacy...

Gobert is a great defender, sure, but taking him over Cousins? I don't know about that. Cousins is a solid defender in his own right and can do 10x the things Gobert does on the offensive end. Enough with the maturity issues and complaints about his attitude. It's old and a non-issue at this point.

I hope folks are not way too high on Gobert. He was pretty good last season, but, I haven't seen anything out of him this summer to suggest he's improved. Almost looked like he regressed.

I don't really know what to expect. I'm much more confortable with Hayward and Favors right now.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I disagree. It will be a non-issue when Cousins shows it is a non issue. So far he has not.

How has it proved to be an issue this year? Because the media said he and Karl had a sour relationship? Who was the supposed root of that issue anyway?

Because it has been an issue every season so far. Until he proves otherwise it is a legit knock. The reason doesn't really matter, just how Cousins handles it.

For my Jazz sakes I hope it stays true because a Cousins who gets his mental game in check is a serious problem for the entire league.

All this lunacy, yet the Kings have no problem beating the Blazers with their bench while the Jazz are helpless with their starters playing heavy minutes.

You Jazz fans should be arguing that everything is going great in Sacland. Otherwise, the Jazz look even worse because they can't outperform an imploding team.

I'll just have to disagree that it was an issue last year. After all the turmoil last year, he has remained committed to the team when much worse could have come from him, and honestly probably would have if it happened 2010-2013.

That is right. I'm really excited for this season as a Kings fan and just a fan of the NBA in general as well. Should be a very exciting year for the league, I feel like there's a lot at stake for a lot of teams right now.

Yet another constant kings basher that failed to fact check. Rondo was joking. But yes, it's all guaranteed to be a disaster. Carry on.

As a fellow kings fan, please stop referencing preseason games to support your argument that "we're better". The games are next to meaningless when predicting future records.

I just read someone say they'ed take Gobert over cousins.
The stuff I read on here sometimes is beyond hilarious. Hobert's own mother wouldn't take him over Cousins.

There is a cap on how far players like Gobert can rise. Last year after the All Star break he averaged 34.4min 11.1reb 13.4reb and about 2.5blk. Realistically that's approaching about as high as you can go with that. Nobody's going to averaged 15-15-4 or something. With impact to match the stats that's a real nice line. But I am tired of people saying they'd take Dikembe Mutombo over Hakeem. No you wouldn't. I don't think I've ever been that big a homer over anything in my life to say dumb things like that.

Voted for the Jazz because I expect them to be an elite defensive team this year. The Kings have more talent but not sure about their chemistry.
