What kind of person does this?

I wish Kobe would take him to practice and 1v1 him for 12 straight hours

What do you mean Kobe probably taught him...

Did you just equate believing in monogamy to being a religious zealot?

Wow.... Just wow

 I am saying people here are acting like religious zealots bringing up things like monogamy which got its basis from religion and are applying it to a sinful relationship, such as Nick and his girl, then saying Nick is wrong for cheating, thus being hypocritical. Be faithful while having premarital sex is to laugh. And for the atheists, why should he be faithful? Who cares? Who sets the rule of monogamy? If Nick doesn't value that rule, why is he a bad guy? Because you say so? or because God says so? They aren't married for the crusaders and why should it be a bad thing if you are not basing it on religion. Just two people who have semi-exclusive sex, in short people are hypocrites and Nick is no more the enemy than his "girl."

Your honor, I rest.

I hope that explains it, if not, who cares.

BTW: I read one of your earlier posts, you are in the Nick is in the bad guy camp POV, thus your consternation of my post makes total sense.

He's a bad guy if he's fooling someone into thinking he's monogamous when he's not. If she already knows or doesn't care, then why would he care if someone told on him?

Its one thing to upset the FO or coaching staff but its way worse to upset ur peers/teamates/ potential future teammates ...this is an unspoken rule amongst any group of guys that u just dont release stuff like this..even if u think the guy is scum for cheating or whatever you just dont air out dirty laundry like this.

I get it. This could mess up your household. Players likely do a lot of things they wouldn't want their woman to know.

I just find it weird they even choose to say they want to be with one woman. It's ridiculous.

You guys that support him must live some pretty damn clean lives. Or you just hide your 'sins' from your friends.

This isn't even about Nick and Iggy. It doesn't matter what was recorded, it matters why it was recorded in the first place. Private conversations are private and it is a complete violation of privacy and a breech of trust to secretly record those conversations. For Russell to even think about doing it is bad enough. For him to actually do it and then post it online is just messed up. And I don't believe for one second that this was the first time he secretly recorded conversations. Is anyone going to feel comfortable talking to him now? I sure as hell wouldn't.

so you're one of those guys, who act like men and women cheating isnt commonplace?
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

It's obvious Russell already knew by the leading questions, but whether it's bragging or something else you don't tell a coworker something that you want to keep secret.

I only say that because there's so much 'pearl clutching' in this thread.

You need new friends.

For contrast all of my friends have been married for 10-30 years and have NEVER cheated on their wives. Or maybe they have, but I dont know because they aren't stupid enough to tell me.

I only say that because young people may read your post and think that having a monogamous relationship is impossible. It happens all the time.

Don't be so sure. Maybe your friends just don't have the options to and/or maybe they don't do or talk about it around you because you seem like a snitch. Note: My pals are all late 20s early 30s, so they're still moderately handsome. I think cheating with random chicks tends to get a little more difficult as you age and become less attractive, travel less, etc.

I wouldn't trade Jose for D Russ. That's how much of a scumbag I think he is right now. And the knicks are dying for a PG. That goes to show.

Yeah no I'm not in that camp. Both are douche bags. Russell broke the trust in the locker room and that's F'd up. Nick cheated on his fiancee and that's F'd up.

Your entire rational is messed up. You really think the idea of being in committed relationship prior to marriage is laughable? That's entirely messed up to believe.

Also your entire premise is that him and his girl had an open relationship. If they did fine. I have no idea. But if you don't know that's a pretty big leap.

In the end Russell broke the cardinal rule in sports and that's the story. But acting like Young is just some innocent victim is pretty damn horrible

I know they have options. I have options. Anyone who goes to a strip club has options. As far as being a "snitch" goes... there wives are my friends too. So yeah, as a friend, I would "snitch." (Seriously? "Snitch"? Are you 12?)

Let me ask you this. If you found out your buddy's girlfriend was sleeping around, would you tell your buddy?

Again if Russell wants to be the future of the Lakers he has to be leader, not a snake secretly recording conversations with his teammate and potentially ruining his private life. He'll be blackballed by the league and deservedly so. NBA players cheating on their significant other is pretty commonplace anyway

Russell did this so he can try to smash this rapper chick. Period. He does not gaf about "Swaggy." I guarantee Russell sees Nick as late round draftee, old, corny, washed up, prob going to be playing in China next year. Russell is a teenager, a blue chip player, huge contract, huge endorsements, current & future of the Lakers...he's grown up coddled and getting ANYTHING he wants.

In college I dated my best friend's little sister's best friend (girl). One day she randomly blocked my #. Couple months later I found out my best friend had a crush on her for like 10 years, could never get with her, started leaking all this crap about me to his sister (who'd then tell her, obviously). We were BEST friends, I never for a second thought he would stoop so low. He thought it would get him laid. :noway:

great friends!

As I said, only if they know they won't get caught. Majority of married men aren't in situations where 1) they have it thrown at them and 2) it's an environment that won't get back to their missus. Drunk...out of town...nobody around that will snitch...not much effort...most are going to fool around.

Like Chris Rock said, men are only as faithful as their options. Easy to pretend to be morally superior if you can't get laid.

this is very true...

if a man has an opportunity to cheat, the opposite woman is willing, and there is absolutely no way his significant other will find out....hes gonna cheat. 9 out of 10 men will cheat in that type of circumstance.

I'm interested to know Russell's motivation. Was this pay back for something? Maybe he wants a chop at Iggy.

How is this awesome? All this has done is publicly humiliate all parties involved, Iggy Azalea included. Two wrongs do not make a right, abusing your own teammate's trust is a horrible thing to do in any circumstance. What Nick Young did was legitimately awful, but I do not see that as being justification for D'Angelo Russell recording a private conversation; this matter could have been dealt with privately.

How is this not awesome? Two people who abuse the trust of people close to them and are both outed. It's awesome. Babble on about justification if you want but justification isn't an issue. Nick Young has nothing to complain about. Russell is probably the victim here as he's a product of his environment and watching Nick and probably others abusing trust left, right and centre he probably thought abusing trust was the right thing to do.

Thankfully I never played on a team with you Mr. Selfrightous.
