Raptors outside of Lowry are young and will improve all over the roster organically + Demarre will hopefully be healthy. I don`t know whether Sullinger is an improvement over Biyombo or not, more minutes and a great fit offensively while Bismack was a perfect defensive fit. I think that all can add up to more than the one game that separated them this year. (plus Toronto may not want to rest guys as much as last year and actually go for the #1 seed to get HCA in the ECF.

(Also, having the Nets, 6ers and Knicks in the division helps a lot)

I wouldn't be surprised if the Raps finished with a better record. IMO, where the Cavs finish (top 2) is a bit unpredictable. I think we could finish with 55 wins or maybe even 65 depending on how we play and how healthy we are.

I don't think cavaliers are going to win 60+ games, there is no incentive for them to go all out in the regular season as they need Lebron rested for the playoffs.

For me, I feel like the East in a lot more competitive than in the past. Many would think the Cavs would probably skate into the Finals this year again, but I really like the moves made this off-season by the East as a whole.

The Pacers and Pistons both look like a team that could really push the Cavs, and the Raptors are definitely going to be up there as well.

The Knicks are probably going to be the mystery team to look out for, and my Hawks could even make a sneaky run with their improved weakness shored up. Boston adding Horford could push them into the top 3 as well. Orlando made a lot of moves(although Idk how significant they will be).

The Milwaukee trio of young talent could be better than expected. I think Monroe will end up a bigger piece than what the perspective of him is. Hard to say how good Chicago will be this year. They'll be fighting for the playoffs though. The Wiz will make it back to the playoffs this year imo. They were on the rise 2 years ago, and ran into a myriad of problems last year.

I'm just excited for next year. Wish I could FF to January, just to see how things will be then.

I think there are 5 for sure playoff teams in the east and would rank them:

Cavs
Pacers
Pistons
Celtics
Raptors

Following 3 playoff teams could be any of the following teams except
Philly and Brooklyn, but I will put in the following order:

Magic
Hawks
Hornets
Wizards
Bulls
Knicks

I agree. Pacers completely bolstered themselves with Teage and Thad Young in addition to development of Turner, re-signing mahinmi. I imagine them winning between 50 - 53 wins. Cavs, Raps obviously.

Detroit as you describe them under Stan Van gundy and Milwaukee i hope can make it into playoffs. Hopefully Teletovic and Dellevadova can give them that toughness and experience. Still don't no who would start in MCW or Delly but they could go with either.
Milwaukee's frontcourt is stacked but i say Thon Maker looked good in summer league.. but man, he needs to hit that Leg Press and maybe still bench also. Bucks frontcourt of Plumlee, Monroe, Henson, Parker, Maker, Teletovic looks good on paper but im not too confident about them yet.

re-signing mahinmi..

Mahinmi went to Washington I believe.

Not because of that, but I'm not as big of a believer in Indy as most. Not because of PG13 in the slightest, I think he is amazing, just don't love the supporting cast/bench. But who really knows what'll happen, just my .02$

yeah Knick fans are delusional...right??even the harshest pro critics have the Knicks in the playoffs.....and us Knick fans already know how delusional real gm posters are on the general board. So the Knicks getting under rated isnt anything new.We all know most posters here dont know ****!!!The gms will start soon enough so get your shots in while you can.

We all know any player can go down at anytime...but you guys are convinced all the Knicks are going down next yr.Kinda of funny when Rose and Noah were Bulls they were always considered the 2nd best team in the East right behind Brons team. Not anymore now there Knicks FOH with that crap.

A bit shocked to see a few people think the Pacers won't make the playoffs.
