At least Lavine could realistically be a 25 PPG scorer.

We paid 70 mil for a guy I wouldn’t put in the top 15 at his position. :noway:

He however checks a lot of boxes in a player you want. Besides the injury.
20 a year kinda makes him untradable. If not for that a good signing.

Lavine is waiver wire material. He literally doesn't check A box, let alone enough boxes to necessitate an entire rack

Really you think him that bad.
He scores well. From deep. Around the rim. Off the dribble.
He passes well for an off guard.

maybe not but coming back from a major injury is never a sure thing.

Can someone explain how this was a chess move by Vlade? What benefits them to make the offer just to have the Bulls match a huge contract and risk being stuck with a player they didnt want? Pretty sure they wanted him its not that complicated. Just dont understand why. Why would you risk everything for a guy that didnt look back from the knee injury last year.

Chicago isn’t a player in the cap space sweepstakes anymore. One less team to fight with in absorbing contracts through trade for incentives.

still does not make sense, again if chicago doesnt match you are stuck with a player you dont want. I mean i guess if that was the play it worked but.....thats damn risky its hard to believe they did that just to mess without another team.

I don’t think he’s that bad either. It’s an overpay in the current market conditions, but if things weren’t so tight no one would have a problem with it.

And folks wonder why the East is so damn bad....

I’m an advocate of a mechanism to remove inept management, although I know it’ll be impossible to implement and execute.

I've been saying Gar/Pax should've offered 17.5 per for 5. He would've taken it and we would've locked him up for another yr at a better price. Instead they lowballed him and look what happened.

The criticism re: his defense and passing are accurate, but he's an excellent shooter and elite athlete. Remember it takes 2yrs to fully recover from ACL and the 'knee pain' that shut him down last season was for the tank (WCJ). At 23, he still has time to develop and a big contract at this stage in his career is an investment in potential. 19.5 per for 4 is an overpay though. Screw you Vlade

Easy match by Chicago but a low-key brilliant move by the Kings to take out their biggest competition for taking salary a salary dump

Vlade and Garpax aren’t fit to run a Big 3 squad let alone once respectable NBA teams.

Thank god for the Kings fans....paying 20 Mil for a highlight guy??? what's the fricken point? It shouldn't upset me but watching GM's attempt to look like they can do something by over paying for crap....ugh....hate that chit!
