That's exactly what I thought, he got pressured from within and outside to return, and he took the bait. GS medically clearing him was pure negligence.
I don't blame him for buying into it either. If he comes back and leads the Warriors to the championship, the narrative surrounding him completely changes. Suddenly there's proof that GS needed him, that perhaps they weren't unfairly stacked the last three years, and that maybe he didn't cheat his way to those rings.
I'm not exactly a KD fan, but you have to feel bad for him right now.
