MJ's competition getting exposed. The defense in the 80s was straight up garbage. No one was contesting MJ at the basket.

I’ll let ya in on a secret, the only one being exposed is you. However sure it doesn’t bother you. As you’ll simply move on to yet another username, once you completely burn up this username account. Gotta love anonymous internet accounts, huh.

Did MJ kill your dog or something?

It's been post after post of Anti-MJ nonsense

We get it!

Mitch Richmond is an underrated pick aswell and I don't think hes been mentioned in here, albeit without the playoff success

I love these videos. Imagine if we had to listen to these Jordan-bible-pushers about the history of the game.

If you never saw these games, you’d think dudes were out there getting beaten & tackled.

Why do people always post videos that show how insanely quick MJ was and then claim that it shows bad defense?

Like I really don't get it. These videos just make MJ look better.

What's crazy is there are videos of 40 year old MJ, strippled of all his athleticism, still having random 30-40 point outbursts against modern defenders. At 39, he had back to back games of 45 and 51.

We're in a world where Bradley Beal is averaging 30ppg on 57% TS. MJ is bigger and faster than Beal, and the best midrange shooter ever. We really think MJ isn't eating up these modern defenses?

If Bron played in the post he would have beat them both. MJ played in the post. Guards didn't play down there. It was tough for them. He could just jump over them.

You mixing up the two version of MJ. Young MJ didn't play in the post as much, which is why they could defend him with smaller players. Second 3-peat MJ was posting up more. Which is why you could put guys like Russell, Wilkins, Cheaney, Smith, Gill, Phills, etc. on him those years.
I'm not mixing up old and young MJ at all. Young MJ played in the post too. The fadeaway was there. It wasn't his signature. Not every move was a drive and dunk. He played in the box a lot.

What have we here. Yet another GOAT of the GM board. I’m in awe of your presence, with the and1 to post ratios, tell me WIZARD, bless me with your knowledge.

Question... why is it that MJ head to head against 2 x DPOY Moncrief, had a career stat line of...
31.6 pts, 6.2rpg, 5.9apg, 2.3spg, 1.3bpg on .527fg%, over “ not1, not2, not3, not4, etc, but over 22

Tell us, all knowing, how did this happen? Again that is 2x DPOY. Bless us with your wisdom!
Edit, let’s not only ask you, but let’s also invite other GM greats, such as big bird, pen maker, triple fail, and the rest of the LeFail wizards to reply. Bless us with your wisdom, Mt Rushmore greats. We are here to learn from your legendary wisdom.

Not his fault MJ was just that good and immortalised him with “the shot”

Majerle was an elite athlete in terms of vertical leap, strength and speed. He was a great defender against most mortal offensive players and made All NBA defense.

I think in today's game almost every team, at least every playoff team, would have 1 to 2 more suitable defenders than the players named on that list.

They are essentially effort defenders, pesky guys. It's like putting CP3 on MJ or a KD, Kobe etc. It looks cool but will have zero effect apart from 2 steals and an offensive foul on a post up.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Seriously though:

Little Joe Dumars
Skinny Michael Cooper
Little Gary Payton

MJ has never faced the kind of defenders that exist today, who are as athletic as him, but bigger and stronger.

LeBorn faced that defensive specialist named JJ Barea, all 5'10" of him.

Majerle was always known as a very good defender. Always.

Jordan exposed everybody. Bad logic.

Lol most players were exposed when up against Jordan. That's what made him Jordan.

Majerle was a fine defender. Little slow-footed to keep up with quick guys but he made you work.

Gary Payton and Joe Dumars are at the top in that list but both were smaller (6-4 and 6-2) so MJ could post up and shoot over them all game long.
