It's really truly amazing to see all 30 fan-bases (including Seattle) finding common ground in something basketball related on RealGM.

This forum has been bashing/baiting/trolling the lakers for the better part of a decade...

A Celtic fan should know these things... For shame.

Yeh and I’ve seen the thread locked immediately. I’m an Aussie, I love banter but the hypocrisy is pretty funny

Damn. That's the first time I listened to Stephen Smith's entire segment, and the first time I enjoyed every second of it.

SAS is right, the first time Kawhi had expectations for a championship put on him, and he chokes under the pressure.

Same.

Pop took some flack after being asked directly whether #2 was a leader and he said at the time, in our locker room, no. Manu and Patty and then LMA were.
"Manu and Patty were the leaders. Kawhi's talent will always be missed, but that leadership wasn't his deal at that time. That may come as he progresses, but Manu and Patty filled that role last year, and LaMarcus [Aldridge] came a long way in that regard also."

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25369007/gregg-popovich-says-kawhi-leonard-great-player-leader-san-antonio-spurs

Turns out it was true. Of course his media mouth piece sycophant Jabari Young wrote about how the Spurs had to understand that #2 wasn't like Timmy and they shouldn't expect him to be. Really?! Spurs didn't realize he wasn't like Timmy having scouted #2 and worked with him every day for seven years? Couldn't he have worked on it instead of the narrative being that he was shoehorned into something he's not? We now see teammates of three franchises that didn't like the way things were being handled with load management. Two got through it because of the internal culture they already had in place, where leading by example was enough, but when #2 finally got everything he wanted, the missing ingredients got exposed. You can't just say you don't give the ball up for that **** or call out teammates for lack of bball IQ after the fact having spent an entire season with what you chose.

You can't just show up and play well and everything else magically falls into place. Because then when you don't play well, who picks up the rallying slack? Make those around you better with your play and support? Team took on the character of its strongest personalities rather than its leadership.

They brought it on themselves for being so unlikable, obnoxious, and pompous while having accomplished nothing. Easily the most irritating group of men in the league. Meanwhile you had the nuggets. Underdogs, who were essentially the opposite of the Clippers as far as team personality, which made for the perfect hero/villain match-up. The Clippers were well primed for mockery if they lost.

I agree for the most part except that Murray is a jerk and has a very punchable face.
