The coach is in a position to see the good and the ugly, so if Rivers didn't make any adjustments, he is to be blamed and I remember a lot of fans complaining about that... Its a legitimate point
Every star like who? We seen plenty stars with bad coaches .
Doc isn't shooting the ball off the side of the goal. Bad coaching got them up 3-1 and double digit leads in every loss ? Coaching wasn't great but PG have no business talking about coaching adjustments after his post season play.
Then lying about how he was used like video and stats don't exist lol
This is the thing. It looked like the Lakers were going to run out of gas in the bubble IMO and then you see the way they played in the last couple of rounds (not every game was pretty) and that is how a team that is together and wanting 1 thing, 1 common goal, plays.
I'm not saying coach Vogel isn't good because he clearly is, and IMO Doc Rivers is possibly the most overrated coach going around (motivational? Give me a break) but the Lakers' leadership was on another level. That started with the top and went all the way down to the bottom of the roster.
PG needs to just watch the entire POs, watch the effort that went into it, not just from the Lakers, but the Nuggets, Celtics and Heat too, and realize there is another gear leaders get to. Not just on the court, off the court, having the respect of your teammates and them knowing you have their best interests at heart too. It's a process and it doesn't just happen when you get to the 1st, 2nd round of the POs etc.
I don't see that type of commitment from PG, can anyone actually see that? KL is an assassin on the floor, but does he pull the team together when it matters? Will he have their back when the chips are down? Sometimes, sure. I put him in the same class. I get the feeling that in Toronto Lowry was much more important than we give credit for (Raptors fans excluded).
Long story short, PG and the Clippers will never, ever win a title with the attitude that exists amongst the playing ranks right now. It simply won't happen, they're not good enough in a series that will shift, which when you get to the pointy end, most will.
Here's hoping the Clippers can stop throwing everyone else under the bus and focus on one goal because when you play with one eye looking over your shoulder you don't have your eyes on the prize.
