But a handful of games ago, against a good team, he put up 6 points on 3-11 shooting against the Celtics. Or his Nuggets game 3-12 shooting. Or about a week ago, having to take 19 shots to put up 19 points against an Pelican team.

It seems the Heat are letting this kid take about 20 shots a game. And he's had a streak of hot shooting, but it still November, and Herro has shown he will stink it up if his shot isn't falling. We'll see how long it lasts.

Could the Heat still have interest in trading Herro for Tim Hardaway Jr? They were seemingly interested in THJ during the off-season... and it'd be cool to see him lineup for the Heat with his dad's history there. I'm not sure how to make a trade work though.

THJ + Brunson for Herro and Robinson?

Lowry/Brunson - 2 lil meatballs :P
THJ/Oladipo
Butler
Tucker
Adebayo

So they trade a young, better Herro for a worse Tim Hardaway JR who is much older because????

Tyler Herro: 22.1 ppg 5.6rpg 3.8apg on 46.5 from the floor, 40.2 from three, and 86.5 from the free-throw line. Yes, it's still early but those numbers tell a story of a player growing into a larger role, not a player being force-fed. Players being force-fed tend to put up terrible shooting percentages...

Well, to quote the Grumpy Heat Fan...

"The Heat coaching staff is intentionally featuring him and running plays for him."

Also, I think THJ is a better fit for the Heat in terms of age, leadership... and y'all are more ready than Dallas is to compete. He brings a better pedigree to the starting SG spot on your team. So have at it while Dallas tries to figure out what to do with Herro/Robinson.

Meanwhile Lowry can help mentor his lil meatball buddy Brunson to be your next Lowry. :P

Good thing he hasn't had good shooting and scoring games against good/playoff teams.

Unless...?

@WAS - 8-16 20pts
@UTAH - 10-23 27pts
@LAC - 10-23 23pts
@LAL - 11-22 27pts
vsUTAH - 11-18 29pts
@DAL - 11-20 25pts
vsCHA - 9-13 26pts

Darn it. I'm obviously not as good at wheeling n dealing as I'd like to be. :D

I still don't think the on-court values of THJ + Brunson are that far off Herro + Robinson though, especially if/when Oladipo is back and healthy. Teams are hunting Robinson on defense. Having THJ instead in your starting/closing 5 will make a difference in the playoffs IMO.

So ignore that game, and ignore the 1st. 2nd and 3rd qtrs…. and you still have a player who very effective in the 4th against other teams starters.

I know your heavily invested in the idea Nunn is better then Herro… and he might have been at one time… but at some point you have to realize that you made an error in predicting a players future based on how a 19 year old look versus someone in the early to mid 20s.
