Yeah, as a Raps fan I’m happy with the postponement but watch it end up as a back to back on our schedule. Even then, it is better it is postponed. Watching this rip through fully vaccinated teams, it is kind of a joke that packed arenas are a thing. But who cares about public health. And yes I know it is the choice of those fans to attend but what choice are those fans giving the public at large.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Would Canada have even let us mob up there?

It’s been 5 players in 3 days. Including today. At some point you gotta curb the virus before somebody gets hurt man

We can’t tell everyone to stay home forever. Everyone knows the risks of covid, and we’ve got a lot of tools to fight the disease.
Players are catching covid, but they are not dying. At some point we need to accept that covid exists, and hiding in your home is not a practical solution.

Yep.
That’s the right call, Miami got rocked last year having to play games with lots of guys on protocol. I’m glad they learned going with a short roster is bad for the players and bad for the product.
We might have covid issues for years, long term postponed games are the best solution.

They still hate the process
when will it be enough, two colangelos aint enough
It is the right decision but the bulls outbreak was probably caused by them not postponing the Sixers two games against the Bulls when they had an outbreak. Do it for everyone or no one, this reeks after philly and charlotte have been running on fumes and piling up losses

Maybe they can do Pistons @ Raptors on Wednesday. I know it would suck for the Raptors to play 3 days in a row and the Pistons to play 4 in 5 nights but could be a way to help reschedule the postponement.
Could free up January 14th or March 3rd.

Perhaps not sadly. We’ll see what they do. I think there won’t be fans at Raptors games soon I’m betting.

Am I wrong in assuming that guys in the protocol are positive? How can a league where 97% of the players are vaccinated and most have had their booster have that many positive cases on the same team?

That’s the right decision. Hope the NBA continues with this approach going forward for all teams.
little late when the sixers piled up 8 losses in 9 games with all their starters out

I understand your perspective and it is hard to argue. However, first let me ask you if you feel the players with no symptoms that test positive should be allowed to play or should they be isolated? If they should be isolated then how in good conscience can those that attended mass events where they were likely to be infected walk amongst the general population just because they don’t get tested regularly? I don’t disagree with you, I am just at a loss.

I agree with this. Covid outbreaks need to be prevented from causing league wide chaos and putting players, coaches, and staff in danger.

We're not allowed to ask these rational questions.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I think when you’re on the edge and some of your 8 or 9 eligible players were players you felt forced to sign because you were already losing players you should have the option of a postponement.

The Raps were forced to play with scrubs last season when we were 17-17. No postponements. Destroyed the season. Although we did get the #4 pick as consolation. Thanks Adam!
