In the few Knicks games I've watched, Knox has been awful and lacks confidence. Hopefully he can turn things around as he's still young, but I'm skeptical.

Hell he only played in 13 games less than 2 hrs total. You would had to watch the Knicks a lot to see him in a game.

Leon Rose is a magician. Last season, he traded for Rose by trading Dennis Smith Jr. This season, he traded Knox and 1st protected for Cam. Hawks are going to extend Hunter instead which made Cam expendable. Knicks needed a boost in shooting and defensive wing. Good trade for both sides.

People really overrating this deal for the Knicks. Cam is an incredibly inconsistent player who has ranked as one of the worst players with major mins in the NBA over past few seasons. Cam will be hitting free agency soon as well so Knicks will have to make a decision whether to pay him or not.

They were literally playing Solomon Hill and TLC over Cam... silly shyt.

Hawks were much worse with Cam on the court, the stats prove this out.

Cam had wanted out for months and the rest of the team knew, this caused friction in the locker room.

Hawks front office thinks one of the keys to their turnaround last year was Cam being out with injury.

Imo all the Hawks fans upset about Cam leaving, or Knicks fans excited about him joining, are thinking about the IDEA of what Cam might one day be, instead of looking at the reality of what he really is.

It's a good move for the Hawks. The way people talk about Barrett and Reddish it's as if they're on the cusp of being all-stars when the reality couldn't more different. 3 years into a player's career, you know who he's going to be. They've been in the league for 3 years, haven't made a dent. Barrett is a PF in a SG's body who can only give you 15 ppg on poor shooting splits and nothing else. Reddish avg. less points but is a better FT shooter.

More than likely, Reddish was going to demand the kind of price tag the Hawks weren't willing to commit to.

Since the doors are open between ATL and NY in trade talks, and Atlanta is looking for help for Tre and Capella... perhaps we can do a Randle + Burks for Gallo + Hunter swap. Saves cap and gives us a young PF to pair with RJ and Cam and maybe move Obi for a PG or develop Obi as a stretch 5 in the long term. I'm a big fan of Hunter. Atlanta would have to send Collins to another team... perhaps to Portland for McCollum or something similar. Capella + Randle + Tre + a solid scoring guard could make some noise this playoffs.

The Hawks wouldn’t trade Hunter for anything less than a superstar player.
