If he plays every game at his current averages, he would get it late in the game @ the pelicans.

I think we are close enough to speculate now.

This might shallow from my end, but I hope he breaks it on a home game (After the Pelicans game, Lakers have 2 home games against the thunder & Bucks. Breaking it at a home against the Bucks would be awesome, but he would need to probably miss a game from the next 7 for that to happen, or average no more than around 25 points.

As a Laker fan, and considering the standings, I hope he continues to score how he has and It's hard to imagine the Lakers winning any game he misses, but this is historic enough that it might be worth it if he misses a game vs it happening on the road.

no way he does it on the road. after all the chatter about him not being a "true" Laker legend, for him to snub the LA fans by not breaking the record at home would be the final nail on the coffin.

Lebron ain't chucking up 29 and 20 shots on back to back nights if he was trying to massage the passing of Kareem's record against the Bucks

He will score less with Davis back and Rui on the team I think.

It will either happen on the OKC or Bucks game at crypto

I was a kid when Ripken passed Gehrig for consecutive games. It was a huge deal. Kareem passing Wilt happened just before I started following basketball. I think I’ll be dead before anybody touches Rose’s 4256 hits or Gretzky’s 2857 points. Point being these things are few and far between. Enjoy what you’re witnessing.

Edit: no disrespect toward Ichiro.

He wouldn't try and score 58.5 points against the Nets and Knicks so he breaks it in MSG, right?
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Tickets at Crypto skyrocketed for that Thunder game. Cheapest around $400. Same with that Bucks game. Lebron will break the record in one of these.

Lebron isn't going to play tomorrow against the Nets, first of a back-to-back.

And with 28 points against the Knicks we are now 89 points away from history being made.

While also moving into 4th place all time in assists.

Next game Feb 2nd vs Pacers. 7pm est.

We already know Lakers will take L with LeBron being passive if it means he can save the record to be broken at home.

Lebron got 2 road games before going home to score 89 points. He can average 44 ppg and still have the record broken at home. He will be as aggressive scoring as he usually is.
