I know there is a lot of Simmons hate right now and I get why, but the Nets doctors were the ones that said he had a herniated disc, not him just saying so and not playing. Sometimes, the tin foil hats need to come off.

But it was his decision, not the teams. He came in after the last workout and said that his back flared up again. The team was disappointed

This dude literally sat out an entire year while in his youth/prime. What a privileged clown.

Throwing him in the middle of a playoff series after missing the entire season was a bad idea anyway.

The man had the same injury in Feb 2020...A back injury(herniated disk) is not exactly a 'sprain ankle'.
Ben Simmons would have clearly played, had the series been 2-1..Why risk him down 0-3 in the 1st round with KD probably playing with an undisclosed injury and Kyrie Fasting?
I cant recall any of Shaq, Charles, Reggie playing with a back injury

Bc you just said he clearly would've played had the series been 2-1.. That's why
Which means the injury isn't all that serious, if it even exists at all

I don't know how anyone can milk a herniated disk... 76ers fans like yourself should remember that Milwaukee game when everything started.

? Dude you have not followed this man his whole career. He is the most vapid, fake player there is. All her cares about is his image, which is now tarnished.

What does your perception of his personality have to do with his herniated disk hampering him from playing?

I love how people expect that a player will just come in after not having played the whole season, and not even having been part of the franchise until the latter part, to make some kind of impact with his team facing a 0-3 deficit in a best of four series

At this point people are just piling on having made up their mind without knowing jack **** about the situation.

and he clearly would not have been anywhere near to 100%. So now, down 0-3, why would you want to play a player that is no where near 100%?
and Good on you for your diagnosis on his back MRI.

He should have played in game 3. Saying that he will be back in game 4 is stupid. It's only a day in between. If you can play in game 4 then you could have played in game 3. He's pucci

The Harden trade was a disaster. I would rather play a disgruntled Harden and let him walk this off season than take on Simmons on a max deal

Just showing up alone would be a huge boost to team and fan morale. It is not like he is going to be taking on any pg duties

I just read that. I stand corrected and give up on the guy. Pop some Tylenol and play.

If he was feeling good enough Thursday/Friday to say the "plan" was for him to play in Game 4, he should have tried to play on Saturday, when the Nets were trying to avoid being down 3-0 - a deficit from which no team has come back to win in the history of the NBA.

Williams came back to play for Boston.

Scottie Barnes came back to play in an elimination game.

If Ben Simmons plays on Saturday and then yesterday his back flares up, at least he tried to play. As it stands now, he may have burned the last bridge with his Brooklyn teammates.
