GeorgeSears wrote:As badly as Harden played against the Celtics, he was still an important piece to the Sixers' success. It's going to be tough to replace him, unless they can get someone like PG in return or try and get two really solid role players to make up for him..

Yup, he wasn't an answer for their big need but he was still pretty good at filling key smaller ones. Organized the offense, created good opporuntieis for others, won them a lot of RS games with his steady playmaking and competence. Definitely gonna miss it, even if not many folks in Philly were holding out hope he'd perform better next PO.

I know that. Not as good an option. He's not developed to the point where he can create on the fly or call plays.

In fairness to him, he hasn’t been empowered to do so up to this point in his career.

It has to do with BBIQ. Have you seen him make plays on the fly or in half-court when defense breaks down a set? He's a speed merchant. A driver, 3 point shooter. But he's a nice kid, I don't dislike him. I haven't seen that side of him. Is Nurse up to the task of developing a PG out of a SG?

Harden is hot garbage. Not worth paying 40 mill of giving up significant assets.

Remember when Harden blamed the Nets for his trade demand? LOL.

Him and Kyrie are the same.

Little different when he could have just opted out and left Philly with nothing.

I can’t imagine how horrible he will be in 2 years.

I'm good with him leaving my Sixers but his playmaking is pretty awesome still. He's inconsistent and unreliable now as an iso player but he's a sick passer and manipulates space and defenses very very well. We'll definitely miss that part of his game, brought a lot the last year and change.

I don't know...he never really drives anymore. I don't subscribe to the assists = playmaking philosophy.

He's also a complete 0 in the PO's and can't be counted on. I say good riddance

Haliburton will be an MVP candidate sooner rather than later. Morey messed up big time.

You think they wanna lock into this George/Kawhi team long-term to be deep in the tax and have them never healthy together for a postseason? I think the clippers might just be excited to get off of George and still get something back for him. Like if he opts in next year, I don’t even know that they wanna pay that.

He did ascend to the MVP conversations and the MVP level with Harden arrival in Philadelphia . Now if Harden leaves the team and Sixers don't get any other star in return. I want to see Embiid carrying team on his own. I know his fans were criticizing Jokic winning MVP award because Denver was sixth in the Western Conference , while he was carrying Campazzo,Morris,Barton etc. on his back. Lets see Embiid's leadership when he's the sole superstar on the team and how far he can carry his team on his own , for the first time in his career

Harden for Fournier, Josh Hart, and Obi Toppin works
