What’s going on with Reed Sheppard? Everyone and their mom was hyping him up crazy after the summer league.

Sheppard was never going to get minutes on Houston. Idk why people picking him for ROY. Unless Houston has a long term injury to one of their many guards, Sheppard isn't going to make an impact this year.

Is his 3 point shooting so good because of the spacing of KD/Beal/Booker provide.

Or does he just play like a different player.

The guy couldn't even hit wide open 3's in college.Shot 50% from the FT line. What he's doing right now is some alternate universe sh*t.Nobody saw it coming.I saw scouts refer to him as a "generational" defensive prospect, but they questioned if he'd ever see the court because of his horrible shooting. It's not just his 3pt shooting. The guy can actually slash & get to the rim at decent rate.If he improves his handle, I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up becoming the best player from this draft a few yrs from now.I think he'll be a top 5 player from this draft bare minimum.

He's playing on one of the deepest rosters in the league. If he was drafted by the Wizards or the Jazz, he would be playing.

Are the heat really that deep? Particularly in his position? If he can't beat out Thomas Bryant or Highsmith then he simply isn't ready yet. I still think he'll be a good pick as the season progresses and he gets worked into the heat system.

Knecht is solid but he scores most of his baskets in garbage time lol he had like 20 against the Cavs that was entirely in garbage time.

#1 pick is the #1 tank commander right now. Will be interesting to see if the Hawks keep giving him minutes.

He's a big dude too. Like moldable clay. You can see the potential, even in how he moves. There's a lot to work with there.

It is surprising that Dunn didn't go higher. Just being an elite defender is enough to figure you can build some offense.

Da Silva exploded in his second game, could be a decent Paolo replacement while he's injured

His 3 point shooting progress has been amazing.

It’s not even like building a new 3 point shot… seems like once drafted he just went out and buy a legit 3 point shooting stroke.

It's a small sample though. If he goes 0 for 4 next game then he's shooting equivalent to Thybulle did as a rookie from 3.

But the shot does look fairly solid.

Regardless, seems like a guy you take at 15-20 given how good he is defensively.

I thought his shooting was going to be more like Roberson. I.e. non existent 3 point shooting.

If he even average 33% 3P% on 3 to 4 attempt a game this season, I would find that highly encouraging based on his supposed weakness during the draft.

Is it April Fools Day? I didn't think so......it's time to add Missi to the poll. The guy is playing like he should have been a top 5 pick.

He was supposedly a shooter in hs. His shot got broken in college but he didn’t want to fix it until he went pro because he wanted to make sure he got the right help. Apparently his jumper is fixed now.

Is he going to be the Roy?
