The same goes for Kobe vs. Wade debates.

Are you serious? that is how they have been this year?

Wow.

Yep. Most of the games I went to were after the Gasol trade. One of my best friends had season seats. The sweetest part of it was that the only tickets I had to pay for were the playoff games I went to.

lets not even forget how spurs shouldn't have even had the ball...our shotclock should've reset on d-fish's shot on the previous possession

We can go back and forth all day, from the Duncan Travel that gave them 2 points, to the Farmar travel which resulted in a 4 point play, to the Ginobili "3", to the rim/shot clock situation(just wondering how many people actually saw it, and posted about it, before Jackson said it after the game? Not many did, they all saw Robert Horry's knee send it flying out of bounds(why was he in the game :() Many were not as obvious as the Barry play, but thats to be expected, as they were not in the last minutes.

Watching the Celtics-Pistons game today, I read at the bottom on the ESPN line that the NBA says Barry should have been awarded a 2 shot foul.

I dont know if I should be happy the Spurs somehow hung in there with the Lakers until the end, or sad that they allowed the Lakers to walk all over them for most of the game.

Horribly officiated game, no need to keep track of all the calls/non calls during the game, your team won, they played harder, had a HUGE rebounding advantage(offensively, what was it, +15? something like that). They deserved the win

Great game by the Lakers, they worked hard for it.

Go Spurs, take game 5!

Well, in the case that the Lakers win they'd have to eat everything they've claimed about kobe. Sure, they'd try to minimize that Denver with two starting all stars, future HOF, former DPOY and 7 footer guarding kobe was nothing.

Coming out of hostile Salt Lake in 6 games while being guarded by all sort of defense from physicality in Harpering, big lengthy dude in kirelinko and some young guy but of course they'll probably bring up game 4 after he was injured and shot too much.

Then now on a verge of beating the champs San Antonio spurs while shooting 6fts total and being guarded by the best. Of course even tho kobe's draining shots while bowen is hacking him or putting hands in the face, the haters will probably minimize kobe's impact by saying things like Bowen's old, he isn't himself as if kobe hasn't owned bowen before or things like spurs are old while they beat the young hornets that were looking damn good with mvp candidate cp3.

Now in case that boston is the opponent and lakers defeat them, Kobe will have played against hte best team in the league with best defense that gave "current best player" LeBron James a nightmarish series but will try to minimze it with Boston's away record.

There I did the work for you haters so you can stay in ur little holes.

Good post and I am not tripping on you..

re: Fishers 24 second.

The Spurs, in truth, wouldn't have had a chance to tie or win the game in the final two seconds if not for a fortuitous non-call on the previous possession.

Television replays indicated that Fisher's shot with 6.9 seconds to go grazed the rim before bouncing out of bounds off of Robert Horry's leg, meaning that the Lakers should have had a new shot clock instead of asking Kobe Bryant to hurry a fadeaway jumper after the ensuing timeout.

The new shot clock likely would have forced San Antonio to foul Bryant as opposed to getting the ball back off Bryant's miss to draw up a potential game-winning play.

dont blame the loss on the 1 play. if the spurs wanted the win they wouda and shouda waxed the fakers big time, but it wasnt the case. cmon man, you're the fricken defending world champs with the best big man in the game and the reigning finals mvp. i hate it when fans protest over 1 play. yeah it might've decided the game. but if your team wouda taken care of business and wax the opponent, none of this would even matter. but no, they didnt. that said, go spurs. win it in 7 !!!

Man, tomorrow is going to be a long day waiting for tip off....

Phil needs to get Ariza some serious game time mins, Please phil, if Ginobli or Barry go off please put Ariza on him. Save Kobe for the final push. With Ariza getting mins, he'll be ready for the Finals (looking ahead)

Spurs are going to be pumped/amped/emotional about this game. Pop is going to throw everything @ the Lakers. Look for Fisher and Kobe to lead by example and go right @ the spurs.

If lakers build a big early lead, Spurs will go away. If spurs lead or stay close, they're going to push hard. Please let this be a Laker blowout.....

sorry

anyways, do Laker fans think Gasol/Odom will have better success defending Garnett(assuming LA and Boston win..I think Detroit's going to win, but just hypothetically here) than he has against TD?..

Gasol will have an easier time with Garnett than Duncan because KG has much less mass. Odom has usually looked very intimidated when matched up against Garnett so I'm not expecting much there.

On the flip side. Gasol will have a much easier time down low against Garnett. Perkins bulk might throw him a bit but he won't have to work very hard on the other end of the floor so overall I think Gasol will play better.

Odom is going to be in trouble. I think he'd do well against Perk and decently against Pierce. Ray Allen lights him up though.

I think Gasol will be more effective defensively on KG, but Garnett has been a much better defender than Duncan all year, and in the playoffs.

^agree, TD might be giving Gasol problem with mass but i think KG will give problem with length.

LOL

real talk

I can't wait to hear the excuses when Kobe drops 30,6,6 on 50% shooting on the Celtics.
