Nice edit, the conversation was about CJ turning the Pels season around, what does me watching Suns games have to do with it. U simple & I've wasted to much time on u already.

Just want to put this out there

Games when BI leads the Pels in FGAs: 2-0
Games when CJ leads the Pels in FGAs: 0-3

Either Willie needs to CJ to stop jacking up shots, or CJ needs to live up to the vet leader and realize this is BI's team and stop over dribbling and thinking this is his offense.

You sure seemed to make a point to the relevance of watching games to establish a basis of opinion. I stated how many games I've watched as I was asked and since that clearly changes things, you still won't accept it. I asked you a counter in earnest since you have talked poorly about the Suns but I guess that doesn't hold the same weight.

Got it. You're a hypocrite and can't take being called out on something you tried to put forth.

Go ahead and foe me if that suits you. I've spent more time than you've deserved to get anyway, so I guess we'll call this one done.

See you Thursday.

Mikal Bridges was amazing. Hats off to him.

GG Suns, Pels seemed stuck at that 12 point deficit for waaaay too long.

Here's hoping for a hype game 6.

And? As I already said, they wouldn't be here without him and despite whatever shooting issues he's had this far, he's given PHX fits and hit clutch baskets. Maybe his performance hasn't been up to expectations but to insinuate he's been essentially hit garbage is pretty disingenuous.

He has a TS% of under 50% for the series. He is the worst defender on the team. If CJ has a TS% of under 50% for a series, he is essentially playing like hot garbage. CJ is there to score, if he isnt doing that then he isnt bringing much else to the table.

The Pelicans need McCulum though. If they didn't have him to worry about the Suns would just be dealing with Ingram on offense and nothing else. McCulum is taking good shots but is being guarded well...it is what it is.

Of course I like PHX and I think booing a rookie is perfectly appropriate, especially when he's talking mad trash yet really hasn't shown much to back it up. It's fine he got a few swipes as his MO, but he has no basis for as much flapping gums as he has done thus far.

The perception I took from the post was a negative one; however, on second glance, I now see it wasn't intended to be taken that way. My apologies for coming off strong and unnecessary.

In this game only. Dude has been outstanding for the series outside of this. If McCollum hadn't been acquired, they most definitely wouldn't be where they are. Give dude some credit as his acquisition immediately turned things around.

They're far better with him than without, even considering this game.

This was CJ's 4th game out of the 5 where he shot under 40%. He had a 50 TS% heading into tonight, so I assume its going to be below 50% after tonight. Then add on he is the worst defender on the team and when its just him out there on offense, he constantly over dribbles and the offense completely stalls.

CJ has been horrible this series.

And if CJ was not playing Bridges would guard Ingram for 40 minutes and limit his game. The Pelicans would probably score about 70 points per game.

Sure, but CJ doesnt get credit for being a decoy though. Its the playoffs, guys that are supposed to be legit #2 options for a team and someone with CJ's reputation on the offensive end shouldn't get a pass because he has hit a couple timely shots and is a decoy on offense.

Again Im not saying the Pels dont need CJ, Im saying the complete opposite. They need CJ to be an actual weapon on the offensive side of the ball and not just a decoy that is jacking up 20+ shots a game on horrible efficiency.

There really is just no way to spin it, CJ has been flat out horrible this series and he needs to step up big time.

I think CJ looks like a guy playing second option that should be 3rd in a perfect world, and playing against a team that has far more cohesion and talent at this point. He's struggling, but it's not like he's choking against a worse team or players or something. Ingram has been better than expected, and CJ has been a big help in that tbh.

I'll be thrilled if we push this to game 7, even with a loss. The Suns are an awesome team, and people are making this too much about how bad they are playing down, but I think the Pels are just playing tough and way better than people want to admit to themselves right now.

CJ keeps getting credit for the turn around but he's been dead weight.

(7-22) (1-8) from 3

He's had Bridges on him the whole series who is the best wing and arguably perimeter (only maybe Smart) defender in the league on him to be fair.

Bridges hasn't switched to Ingram at all because CJ would absolutely torch Crowder non-stop on defense with his pace and cause Mikal to come over anyway at times which lets Ingram loose again.

But yeah CJ isn't necessarily playing bad he just has a top 3 defender in the league on his hip every single play.

Hardly. It's a 28 win differential between these two teams and it's still competitive. Booker is out, but so is Zion.

I really hope people aren’t being serious with these “but so is Zion” takes when comparing it to Booker being out. I thought at first you guys were but this is the third or so time that I’ve seen it be mentioned.

I agree it's not comparable because Zion is a better player. And CP3 is the best player on the Suns.

Book surpassed Paul this year and Zion hasn’t played in a calendar year. Do the Pels even want him activated?

Sorry, it's a crap comparison. We will never know what record the pels would have had with Zion. Would they have traded for CJ? We don't know cause he didn't play 1 game. It's like saying AD is a top 5 player when healthy. We did however know what the Suns did with Booker this season. Pels win 65 games with Zion? I don't know if you can say that tbh.
