Anyone want to defend why Wade was shooting around during the Canadian anthem? Also, did he do this during the american one too? Never thought of him as a classy player and he keeps proving me right.

Lowry is something else. Wade tried to put the team on his back but doesn't look like anyone else on the Heat was able to do enough.

If the Cavs are destroying the Hawks, that means that neither the Raptors nor the Heat are going to be any significant challenge. Both are playing to get to the Conference finals at this point.

Sorry no it just means lebron owns the hawks

And he'll own both the Raptors and the Heat too. If Carroll can't slow down JJ, he ain't going to slow down Lebron.

I think to win the series, Toronto needs Lowry to be the best player on the floor between both teams, and I wouldn't count that possibility out in a single series. If LeBron's cold, Kyrie and Love are controlled, and Lowry heats up, we could be in major trouble.

And if JV develops a reliably 3 point fadeaway, we have a shot.

I mean..cmon..in a 7 game series, you guys just have too much talent.

Gotta have faith & confidence. Carroll is capable of slowing Lebron, Cojo on Kyrie can slow him too, Biyombo can stop the drives, 2Pat may do okay on Love. They have a ton of talent & are favorites but the Raps can make things competitive if everyone shows up. We'd need to win the boards & our backcourt would need to be on fire but I wouldn't doubt we can push it to 7

It's not about the 1:1 match ups with Cleveland - you can beat them if you have elite team defense. Guys need to be able to help on LeBron and recover to the three point line. If they can't do that, none of it matters.

Also,@Fico, a win is a win. If Raps beat y'all, they move on and you go home.

Because he's not Canadian? Idk, it's not classy but I think you're nitpicking here. Wasn't there a Muslim player in the 90s who went to the locker room during the national anthem? I wouldn't have an issue with Wiggins or CoJo shooting during the national anthem. :dontknow:

Did Wade flop this hard when he was younger? He was channeling Harden out there, it was awful to watch.

Continuing his shootaround during the national anthem was a dick move too.

Respect factor down tonight.

Hey man, as long as we can agree it wasn't classy I am fine. I personally have never seen this before.

Umm JJ's been shooting about 36.5% this series and barely had an impact today. Not sure why you don't have any faith in your own team lol but i guess ill stop responding

Without Whiteside's inside presence the Heat really struggle. Losing JV is a big deal for the Raps too, but they're deep and have other guys to go through. Having Haslem inside isn't going to get it done for Miami.

And JJ needs to spend some time shooting after the game. If he can't shoot, then at least draw some fouls.

Im more impressed by the raptors defense than anything. If they had a real allstar quality player in place of derozan they could make a finals run.

Agreed. I'm hoping that letting Lowry & Derozan shoot out of their slumps may pay off in the end. If both are firing at a high clip by the time we get to the ECF we have a chance

During the game it feels like JJ has 30 points on 50% shooting. Then you look at the boxscore he only has 15 points on 35% shooting. It feels like JJ has been owning us when he hasn't. It's just the times he does score, he looks dominant.

Where's the Heat fan who said he bet $500 on tonight's game and that it was "easy money"? Where's that slip?

I think losing Whiteside is a bigger loss because Miami has nobody else who can impact the game like him at the 4/5. Raps have Biyombo who has played great in extended minutes. Love how aggressive both players are going after the ball - really puts an emphasis on defensive rebounding. Take one wrong step or if you're a half second half, Biz / JV have the rebound.
