Lillard really should have been in for Derozan the last possesssion. You’re down 3 with 0:14 left, you’re shooting a three no matter what. Do you want a guy who just learned how to shoot 3 pointers this year or arguably the best shot maker in the entire league for difficult 3s who’s had the best night of anyone on your team? It’s a no-brainer. Plus how ice cold would it be if Dame hit the game-tying 3 straight off the bench?

Uh, no he wasn't. They iso'd Embiid on Russ, missed shot, Durant, missed shot, Kyrie, missed shot, George, block. LeBron didn't even try to drive and took a step back 3.

What 4th quarter were you watching???

Demar had a chance to go for MVP so it makes sense why they kept him in. Harden on the other hand was 2-13 from three. Even Curry was 3-11 from three. Dame is clutch so he probably should've been in. Klay was also shooting well from 3.

If NBA would allow players to bet on this game to make a better reward for the winner still it would be better.

I just don't understand how you don't put in Damian Lillard in the last few possessions of the game.

The guy had +18, was the leading scorer, and has a reputation as a clutch player.

Him and Embiid together would've made for a dynamic duo.

Steph Curry should absolutely be the captain when the game is in Charlotte!!

Yeah - they should really rethink that...

I can see MDA putting in Green for Embiid. They were up by 1, NOT 2, so they wanted to take away the drives and force team Lebron to shoot, by enabling switches. Considering what Embiid just did blocked PG on the last play, there was indeed a strong case to be made for Embiid to stay. It's not like he is a worthless defender, and it's also not like Green isn't a former DPOY. So don't make it sound like MDA is mindless crazy by pulling him out. LeBron ended up making an award layup, credit to Lebron for making that play and trying hard the WHOLE game.

MDA then put on Klay for shooting the last procession. What he really should do is putting in Lillard for DeRozan. Harden had a really bad shooting night, but as his head coach, I don't think MDA would do him nasty by sitting him on the last play. Not on an all star game. All you keyboard warriors here, imagine you were MDA, will you have the balls to pull out Harden? No you won't.

It's shocking to see some people getting overly worked up over an all star game. Those long time Toronto/Houston and Demar/Harden haters, finally get a break to have their anger released because those teams/players are doing so well in the regular season this year so far and they haven't given you much chances to hate. Well all star game is over now, you have to at least wait till the playoffs to pull your trigger again.

For real. With the exception of that Bron 3, Embiid pretty much pitched a shutout out there.

Dude hasn’t played 82 games yet and they have to double him in the All-Star Game. Damn.

BTW...happy for the OKC fans that Russ won another game. Yay for you!

I think some of then went too far, over an all star game. Harden had a very bad shooting night, 2/13 from three, while having the best career shooting season. One of those nights.

I can't believe some of those sixers fan got so upset about Embiid being pulled out, and started throwing shots that Raptors and Rockets won't do anything this playoff. You can clearly see them getting overly upset.

Pfft, Harden obviously rigged the game for Lebron so he can have better chance to get him to Houston .

Lol.. And how would LeBron winning an ASG while Harden shoots poorly make him want to go to Houston?

Dame & Thompson should have been in over Harden & DeRozan.

lost the game when he pulled Embiid

He put in Green for switching purpose. Embiid was good at the rim but he got blown by George and Lebron a couple of times earlier.

Team Lebron wasn't playing any bigs at the time.

Umm..you mean that play where PG got COOKED by Embiid at the rim with the game on the line?

Wow, this was exactly like a Sixers game from last year. Embiid the only team Steph starter with a positive plus/minus.

I understand why MDA did it, I understand wanting to switch on everything, but I feel like if he wanted to deter them from driving then he should have just left Embiid in the paint. Not going to comment on the rest, since I’m not hating on either of the players.

Apparently D'Antoni isn't familiar with Lillard time. He should have been in there for the last shot. So what about DeRozen going for MVP. Dame led the team in scoring and could have gone for MVP himself if he were given the last shot. For a team with so many shooters, they didn't have the best shooters on the team in the game for the last shot.

Love that we are breaking down defensive lineups in the all star games.

Really Jojo and Draymond should have been out there together. They are birds of a feather and would have loved nothing more than to lock down on a possession together.
