Jokic looks like the Colossal titan next to normal humans.

The momentum swung after that. If I’m the Nuggets - I want a formal review of the game. I know nothing will happen but at minimum you ban him from sitting courtside to prevent this crap from happening.

this thread is hilarious because you know if it involved your favorite player or a player who you hate...many of these talking points would be flipped around lol.

TECHNICALLY the letter of the law says you can't push a fan even if the fan is at fault. Some **** Sixer fan called IT a midget once and IT rightfully stepped to the clown...but also rightfully got tossed (and either fined or suspended).

that being said; it would also be pretty lame to suspend Jokic in this moment. If it was Jeff Green? then sure....you can't interfere with a series like that IMO. Context matters....just like Biid not getting tossed for kicking Claxton. Technically yeah he should have but that also would have changed the course of the game due to his importance. Its not fair but its probably for the best for the product IMO.

for the content of this board tho..... I wish Silver would almost....people will lose their ****

(then watch as the Suns **** the bed anyway or something ha)

I never realized how thoughtful and intelligent Gordon was until this year when I started to watch his interviews.

He's a bright guy.

Jokic would've been suspended if this was just any other fan for altercation with a fan, regardless if he held onto the ball or not.

Some of you guys are stupid af.

Naw if it was any other fan they would have been tossed and Jokic wouldn't even get a T.
They even tossed some other fan they saw on replay who put his hand on Jokic
Ishbia put his hand on him too. Jokic has a right to clear his personal space and get stranger's hands off him. He was just waiting for the ball so he could play the game, and he should have already had the ball if Ishbia wasn't so entitled.

Simple question, if the ball bounced to you courtside and Jokic tried to retrieve it from you, would you give it to him or try to fight him for it like you were in the game tying him up for a jump ball?

The situation hopefully is a lot more clear when you put it in these terms.
Why wouldn't a "fan" just give the ball to the player?
Obviously because this wasn't a fan. This was the owner, who demanded a midseason trade for KD, and now desperately wants them to win this series so he doesn't look like an ass. He saw an opportunity to help "his" team by slowing Denver down, but imo he took it too far.
He should have just thrown a bad pass to the ref or something clever. Trying to fight Jokic for the ball was dumb as hell let's be honest

Ofcourse Nuggets players will defend him. They know if they lose him the game is lost.

what are the rules on that? should he have just let go.....yeah probably, but that makes him a d bag....i dont see any rules about being a big of d bag. but how often does a player go over and yank the ball away like that? again what is the precedent? Well there are rules against what Jokic did and thats a fact.

J. PLAYER CONDUCT—SPECTATORS

Any coach, player, trainer, or other team bench person who deliberately enters the spectator stands during the game will be automatically ejected and the incident reported by e-mail to Basketball Operations. Entering the stands to keep a ball in play by a player or the momentum which carries the player into the stands is not considered deliberate. The first row of seats is considered the beginning of the stands.

and again, i am not saying he should be suspended, but its absurd the people saying he did nothing wrong, its just factually not accurate to say.

The rules only apply sometimes because Tatum can shove a referee and the NBA doesn't even blink.

He didn't "deliberately enter the spectator stands during the game" though.
He walked over to retrieve the ball to resume play.
Your argument is already flawed in the first few words of the rule you are citing.

A lot of overreaction from both sides on this Jokic/Ishbia thing.

No, Ishbia didn’t “wrestle” the ball from 6’11 300 lb Jokic. Nor did Jokic “elbow” Ishbia or “go into the stands.” It was the smallest of shoves and not a big deal.

So much drama over nothing.

Funny how the dudes defending Joki because it was the Suns’ owner are the same dudes who’ve been saying it was great that Jokic injured Markieff Morris lol. I got the posts to prove it.
