Germany has to lean on Franz. Healthy or not, he’s their best player by a mile.

Easily the worst performance of any player in the world cup. Would probably have to go back multiple decades to find a comparable performance.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Well, he made his only shot while I was throwing him under the bus. So I take some credit for that.

Was high on Bertans all tournament long but obviously that’s on offense only. He’s so bad on defense it’s just negating what he does on the other side. i was hoping he’s have commanded some minutes with that OKC team but i guess not.

Franz Wagner is just moving like an NBA player. That difference between him and these other players are just too big.

Germany is getting a ton of whistles their way, particularly the Wagner brothers. It's a shame but it seems like Latvia's lack of individual talent is catching up with them.

As someone with a lot of money on Latvia, it’s **** terrible when Bertans and Schroeder are both on the bench. I’m ****.

Okay Latvia is tired, not sure if they have another comeback in them. They have punched above their weight all tourney long so really can’t blame them.

I'm disagree with bringing Hollatz cause he's not used to playing meaningful games, but sending Dennis to the bench was obviously key. The whole "stick with your leaders" approach is more of an NBA thing and has to do with avoiding trade requests, locker room tension, being forced to fire the coach etc. You don't usually see FIBA teams play guys just because.

Eh both guys are just on a different level. Lack of talent from lack of competitive play at this level that will get to you eventually.
