Kevin Love: 32 points (12-21, 3-6, 5-5 FT), 15 rebounds, 8 assists
Dirk Nowitzki: 14 points (5-11, 1-4, 3-3 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 assists

He's outplaying the guy he matches up against, last night he doubled him up. If it starts to get even, or if his matchup passes him, then I'll start to complain about his defense.

I'm talking more about rim protection. His matchup will be worse most of the time but he should also limit scoring of guards.

However, Love is superb offensively and I mean he is truly superb. Right now he is maybe even as good as Dirk was on offense which is crazy good. The only thing Dirk still does better is creating his own shot but there are not many guards that are better than him in this aspect so it's not an insult. :)

But taking into consideration stats Love could be an MVP. The problem is Wolves won't win as many games as it take to win the trophy. I just hope they make the playoffs cause it's been a long time since their last apperance there.

LeBron is yet again putting up MVP numbers. Its hard to argue with the production, but when you watch the games he has clearly been coasting.

By numbers alone, Kevin Love is head and shoulder above the league

He will never be a good rim protector. You can definitely tell he is giving effort on the defensive end.

One thing that bugs me is he doesn't seem to understand when to switch guys. I don't know if it is bad communication or what.

How many games do you think it takes to win the trophy?

Of course it depends on how many games will different teams (with other MVP candidates) win. Normally it takes at least 55 wins but in that case you have to be the best player in the league or at least in this discussion. I can image that a guy who wins only 50 games wins MVP award but his dominance in the league would have to be indisputable (plus, his team would have to suck really bad). When you win less than 50 there is no way to get the award in today's league.

Historically low 50s. You have to at least win the division. But an MVP coming from a 53 win team, you'd expect a monster statistical season and a large over-performance in expected wins. The more talent/less injury problems a team has, the higher that number should be, or the larger the gap in production between the winner and everyone else.

I hate him with a passion but Love is the MVP at the 1/12 mark.

I can't remember the last time a modern era big man was consistently throwing full court outlet passes like that. Looks like he's been taking lessons from his fellow alumni, Bill Walton.

And those sweet bounce passes from the elbows? He and Anthony Davis are going to make this a very fun league to watch.

his outlet passes are amazing. So accurately thrown, could've been a 6'10 QB, lmao

My thoughts echo yours here. Two most exciting guys to watch at the moment and wonder just how good they can get.

At 1:43, wasn't someone was getting on Griffin for passing to an open man in a similar situation vs Miami? I guess it's actually not a bad play.

Loves outlet passing is real nice though

...... you mean the guy who just shot 8-14, 3-5 from three and 5-5 from the line?

You sure have it out for the guy. Did he steal your g/f or something?

I don't know if he did but pg is the third best sf in the nba and the second best two way sf in the nba. His progression has been even faster than I expected.

Your agenda against George is clear and is becoming old quick.

Pacers are 7-0 and George hasn't had a bad game yet.

You need to calm down.

My agenda? Really? How old are we?

PG had bad games the past 2 games minus the nets.
He started out like crap with his 1-6 shooting, but came back solid. Good game from him.

YOU need to calm down. I'm fine.
I'm just pointing out that he shouldn't be top consideration for MVP that's all.
