That sucks. I'm hardly the biggest Cousins fan, but I hate seeing players end their season like this. Hope he recovers well next season.

People actually out here questioning if he’s going to get the max or not lmfao :nonono:

Wesley freakin Matthews had the same injury and still received a max contract.

The will not affect Cousins money literally by one cent.

The really hurts NOP more than anyone. NOP was banking on entering the playoffs with some rhythm and demonstrating the potential of the twin towers, but now they literally have to really look into any worth-while trades (if there’s even any at this point). This changes literally everything from deadline strategy, to summer plans, to draft prospects....

Cousins is a monster though and has the demeanor of a true competitor and will come back dominating in no time, I am 100% confident in that.

Thats a shame I liked the whole twin towers thing they had going on there. Would have been fun to see them in the playoffs.

Damn, so many injuries suck.

In the positive side, this could be good in the long term for Pelicans if Cousins returns 100% because almost no one will offer him a max contract, but the problem is that achilles is a terrible injury and the chances that a big man returns 100% from that injury aren't high precisely.

I may not have had a problem with him being traded, but I will always have love for him as a man/player. Gave a lot to the Sacramento community and wanted to stay here and retire here. Sorry to hear for such a good dude

100 percent hes gonna get maxed not sure why thats even a question, more a shame we wont get to see him this postseason, always one of my favorite ballers. Saw him in highschool and remember never seeing a man that big with a handle like that. Really a shame, but I think since hes still a somewhat below the rim kinda guy he should come back as more or less the same player, maybe he works more on that jumper and comes back even better.

This really really really sucks

He might be a pest on the court but this man eat sleeps and breathes basketball. He just loves the game and was having just a great year. This is just terrible

Pretty much top of the list of things I didn't want to see this season. Love the Pels and their twin towers project/experiment. Would've been great to see them in the playoffs after most people were writing them off at the start of the season.

What a disaster.

On a slightly positive note Rudy Gay injured himself a week earlier last season and he got back in time for this season. Looks pretty much the same player, and per36/100poss his stats are very similar. Hopefully Boogie has a recovery like that.
