KD is now unequivocally one of the greatest to ever play the game. He showed that it doesn't matter how much talent you have on a team, come finals time he's still the best player on the roster. The guy joined one of the most stacked teams in NBA history, a 73 win team, and he is racking up finals MVP:s like there is no tomorrow. This guy is not competing with Tayshaun Prince, past prime-Marion, old man Duncan or no pass-Irving about this honour, he's going at the best shooter in the game.

I appreciate him greatly as a player, dude balls out. The decision to sign with GSW, not a fan of, but I can see why he went with GSW. Lots were saying there wouldn't be much ball to go around if KD signed, well it's going around just fine. Good for him, and good luck to the rest of the league that try to catch up.

I forget exactly where I had him before this season, I think 27th all-time, give or take a spot. I have him 19th now. So, yeah, I appreciate him.

I dont appreciate him, and I do agree that everything he wins has a huge asterisk. In latest Starters podcast, they were talking how KD would never have joined this team if Warriors actually won, and I dont buy it. He would have. Now people wont take his titles seriously, he wont be compared to goats, and he did it to himself. Dirk's one title will be more meaningful than all KD's titles on GSW.

KD, TS%, Playoffs:
With OKC: .575
With GS: .635

Did KD all of a sudden get better, or did his supporting cast become much better? His last playoff with OKC he had .542 TS% and the very next year with GS he posted a .683 TS%.

It's hard to really evaluate him (especially when comparing him to the very elite) because the defensive pressure he faces in GS isn't close to what he faced in OKC due to the quality of the supporting cast. I appreciated him a lot more when he took that OKC team to the finals. That to me is his most impressive feat so far.

Lebron in 2012 and 2013 already proved this to be false. I know some Lebron fan will come here and claim that what KD did is different, but it is the same intent. History is written by the victors, no one in the long run cares about the details.

there are 4 levels of FMVP for me. Including PS runs

1) GOAT level PS run (Lebron 18 and 09, Duncan 03, Hakeem 94, Dirk 11, Shaq 01, Jordan 91 )
2)MVP level,all-time great being the undisputable lone STAR (Kobe's and Wade' . A couple from Curry's. Don't have time to mention them all)
3)good-to-great performances relative to context (that's where Durant is)
4)hipster choices Iggy and Kawhi (sorry :P)

You don't really need Putin to see how empty and fake all of Durant's titles really are. Unless you are blind (or a Warriors fan)...

I look at that more as an indictment on Westbrook than anything. His humiliating first round exits without KD to prop him up have exposed his selfish play for what it is. KD's efficiency jump shows us one of the many reasons Curry is infinitely more valuable to winning games than Russ.

this comment has nothing to do with me because I'm a souther european but:
aside from the arcaic anti-russian tone of your post (it's 2018 FFS, the cold war is over and honestly both USA and Russia are the EVIL)
I don't think you have any idea of what eastern europe is. He comes from "Eastern europe". You go from perfectly western countries like Poland,Slovenia and Croatia to an ancient regime like Belarus. I wanted to underline the bias....

They try to meddle in elections in the US and Wester Europe.

Now they're trying to divide NBA fans.

He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about (so i didn't even comment on that). I live 1000 miles away from Russia, never been there and couldn't care less about them. Besides, i have absolutely no idea why would russian bots give a 2 cents about Durant's titles, haha...

I think Russ is too predictable and stubborn. What makes him great may also what prevents him from winning a chip’.

Would love to see him get back to the Finals tho with OKC or with a former super team somewhere else

So yes, I appreciate him and what he brings to my team immensely.

I disagree. I think they win with Harry and a better overall bench to boot. KD is overkill. It's like trying to buy a car that can take you back and forth from school, and you decide that a Ferrari should be that everyday driver. They could've signed a JJ Redick at SG and moved Klay to SF if they were that concerned with Harrison's shooting.

I don't appreciate KD on the Warriors, because I have no reason to. I don't see a guy going thru the struggles finally breaking thru. I see a guy who said, "Nah, this is too hard." and proceeded to join a team that didn't need him.
