Lakers sign Jimmy Butler or Kemba Walker and they're the best team in the West.

Stupid Pelicans..

Sure they could. I'd rather have Mitchell Robinson than Ball or Ingram. And the #3 pick is better than the #4. Plus the Knicks have the Mavs picks to offer.

My guess is that the Knicks either decided not to make a trade for AD or they just weren't willing to offer more.
I still like the Knicks offer more too. Still a decent haul if number 4 pans out (Bol Bol?) but Barrett would have been a stud. Mitch Robinson dumb underrated.

Pelicans got less now than in February . That's what you get for trolling another GM instead of making a good faith negotiation offer

Pels didn't get Kuzma so they didn't get whatever they wanted.

He said he isn’t going to return.

What is Boston supposed to do?

He could of saved us from this! Haha.

In all honestly he shouldn’t of sat on his assets for two years when Kyrie was in his prime. I’m a broken record saying this and Boston fans dislike me for it but ainge is a freakin wuss.

Laker fans better pray every night for the good health of their team. An aging Lebron and an injury prone Davis staying healthy through a finals run would be highly unlikely.

High clampage in that backcourt.

Best defensive duo in the league IMO, Jrue doesn't play PG, was at his best with Rondo.

I like it for both teams. The Lakers tried the patient approach and it didn't work. It was time to do something splashy. And the Pels fast tracked their rebuild nicely.

They need to fill out the roster still. Cavs had decent depth on the perimeter, atleast when it comes to shooting. Not going to find guys like Korver or JR for basically nothing anymore. Lakers really don't have many assets to begin win to make more moves.

I can understand it from the Celtics perspective. AD didn’t want to play in Boston and would have left after next season. Can’t trade a young player who they can control for at least another 5 seasons for that.

We’ve already had one rental diva that accomplished something, why bet the farm on one who can’t manage his way out of the second round?

This is a win for the Celtics, no matter how much you want to convince yourself otherwise.

Lakers are cementing themselves as hot trash for many seasons to come.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
If Kyrie goes to BKN then the Lakers should try and bring back Russell as he’s the best fit with LeBron and can play on and off the ball.

If I'm the Lakers, I'd go hard after Butler.

Lebron, AD and Butler? That's an insane trio.

Compared to what San Antonio got for Kawhi, it's a decent haul.
