Thunder will probably move CP3 very soon. Besides that, Morey is basically going all in & if things blow up he knows he won’t be around to clean it up.

That trade talk in the past of Houston offering Capela, Tucker, Gordon, etc everything except Harden, I think Houston has to keep all those players now that they have Westbrook to go with Harden.

I don’t see why people think this is bad move for OKC. This was done to improve long term which is all that matters. Short term they weren’t going anywhere with Russ anyway. Sure the team will be less exciting to watch in the short term but they have to rebuild anyway

Its an ok trade for Houston. CP3 just can't stay healthy and is on a somewhat major decline so they had to do something to try and extend their title window. The problem is that WB is sort of on the decline too as is his jumpshot. Houston just felt doing something was better than doing nothing. I don't see the Harden-WB backcourt being that successful but sometimes gms feel like they are under the gun and do stuff like this. Plus the rumors of the CP3-Harden friction coming out.

I am guilty of this for sure. It was always a fun matchup. I blame media for pressing the mvp rivalry narrative making rockets fans more defensive making us compare the 2. He's damn good but hopefully his shot selection late in games ok.

Chris Paul definitely won't start for OKC next year, he'll be traded or bought out. I still don't like the trade for OKC or for Houston, OKC doesn't get any young talent and Houston I don't think gets any better.
