Why won’t it?

Lakers have 2 of the top 5 players in NBA.
They have length.
They have depth.
They have shooters.
They have an experienced coaching staff.

They need age/time to gel and get chemistry and better. That will age just fine.

Warriors don't even have a first team right now. We knew LeBron at PG will be a freight train and AD will be AD. We don't know if AD will stay. If Vogel can coach this team? Can Pelinka be a good rookie GM and who will he backstab next? How good will the Clippers be? Rockets? Jazz? Nugz? Blazers? Warriors? Spurs? So many story lines to be written. It's too early; it's only preseason, man.

Its the first and pretty much only preseason game Im counting down to watch. How does Ingram look after everything, how does Ball's shot look, how does the Pels offense look with Zion at the 4. Then with the Hawks Im looking forward to seeing Hunter, Cam, Trae and Collins. Should be a fun game to watch.

Same here. It might be the most watched game between two 2018/19 lottery teams this preseason. I am ready for 07:30 Monday night already.

I want to see Zion and how he does against NBA height and size; everybody is big in the NBA . Hunter and Reddish how are they going to play against NBA talent? The Pelicans have plenty of that for sure. Ball and Holiday should be a good defensive test for Huerter and Trae.

Even though we may not get to see Trae, Huerter, and Collins for more than 20 minutes, I am still stoked.

He will be fine offensively but he really doesn't know where to be and how to play any role in a defensive scheme. I don't think its going to take more than 4-5 games before Draymond starts losing patience with him on that end.

I think he was referring to D'Lo and WCS when he said he's had to do a lot more teaching so far this camp.

Not really, it's not like they signed a guy that someone shouldn't be able to beat out for the position. You make it sound like they signed a great 6th man to keep him in the 3rd role on purpose. If Aaron can't beat out TJ McConnell that says more about Aaron than the Pacers intentions.

In reality, Nate McMillan will take a solid vet over a young, unproven player 10 out of 10 times.

I'm not sure what the proof to this is. He started Myles every game when he was 20. What other young players has he had worth playing? Joe Young? TJ Leaf? George Niang?

I'm not sure what other young players he's supposed to have been playing.

Benched Aaron Holiday last year for Wes Matthews only to still get 4-0'd. Hurt a rookies development for literally no reason at all.

I just told Jeanie she knows better than this. She got a little too tipsy on champagne. The fall has been steep since 2012. Yes, indeed. I enjoy crowing, but after Preseason Game #1? That's more of an embarrassing ego moment than a warning. Crowing after the first RS game would even be a bit much, but preseason? Cmon, Jeanie n Linda... Lakers lost to the Wizards in their 1st Preseason game with Phil in 99 and went 2-6 in that preseason and were generally lousy in all of Phil's years in the Preseason, so remember that any fellow fan who would dare to advise me to lighten up. I would rather win every single game no matter what, but for perspective, I had a solid 1 wipe deuce this morning and a boiling hot shower which both feel better to me than a Preseason win. I would be just as fresh and regular right now with or without the win. I've already scored two minor life wins before 11AM.

Davis/McGee/Howard combined for 41 points and 32 rebounds, and neither of one of them played more than 20 mins.

Collectively, that's excellent production from the C spot (yes, AD played some mins at the 5).

I like how Vogel plays AD at the top of the key. He's a gifted passer. Threw some nice lobs to McGee/Dwight under the basket. I can see that being a difficult play for teams to stop with teams going smaller. The front court is the obvious strength of this team. Just need the guards to defend and hit their 3's.
