As a Knicks fan if you asked me to name a super random dude who kind of symbolized 90s Knicks basketball:

Don’t forget Jim Les!

Jim Les!! Almost forgot that name.

Additional points because after his NBA career he probably played in the most random league for the most random team possible.

In the early 90s there was a league called the "World Basketball League" who's defining feature was that it had a 6'5" height restriction. Jim Les was one of the stars of the league for a while, when he played on the Saskatchewan Storm.

And yes, I'm old enough that seeing the Saskatchewan Storm was probably my first live professional basketball viewing experience as a kid.

Anyone else remember summer league legend Travis Diener? He had a massive bandwagon around these parts alongside Dan Dickau

Kinda like Charles Jones…longtime undersized backup center for the Bullets

Now this is what I'm talking about! Great list. Lionel Simmons (L-Train) had a decent little run.

Didn't Simmons have to sit out a few games due to tendonitis from playing video games too much?

Dick Van Arsdale is one of the best defenders AND shooters in NBA history, I only just discovered him this year and he's the perfect compliment to MJ, like John Paxson but a lot more athletic! And by coincidence he wears the same number as John Paxson.

Zarko Cabarkapa. I was a kid still getting into basketball at the time. I remember watching this dude torch I think it was the Rockets? Or maybe Mavs? can't quite remember. Thought he was some kind of star player or something so he's always someone I will remember
